It was extremely hot, so I tried to dress as cool as possible. On the excursions where we went to churches, I wore lightweight capris and shirts that were short sleeved, but covered my shoulders. My husband wore pants that we bought at REI that zipped off at the knees so they could be shorts also. However, his shorts hit right at the knees and was never asked to wear pants nor was he turned away, so his "longer" shorts were okay everywhere we went.

At some of the churches, they did have coverups for the ladies, but not at all of them. And, we also noticed that at some, the restrictions were not in place because we saw many girls in halter tops and short shorts.

I wore tennis shoes everywhere we went for all the walking we did. My 15 year old daughter did wear flip flops most of the time as she hates tennis shoes.

Interesting time in Madrid. I can not even imagine the stress of that. Especially since I do not speak a stich of Spanish. Well, I could have told them to please stand clear of the doors

Thanks Deb and Elaine! I thought of you both while on our cruise. One night they served "unbrulee" and it immediately made me think of the PC Cruise and all our friends!

Okay, so let's go with our day in Villefranche, France. First I must say, this has been the most beautiful port of all the ports we have visited and of course, the most expensive also! (No wonder I liked it so much!). Everywhere you look people are driving Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari's, etc., etc. Of course, they are living the lifestyle too!

Linda, well about 2 hours later, I just finished your fantastic blog! WOW. It was awesome. I think the thing that really impressed me the most was your confidence in just hopping in a rental car and driving on your own. To even think of renting a car at MCO and getting to our Disney hotel would completely stress me out, lol. And to think you did that all over Europe, just amazing to me. You seem like a real seasoned traveller, I'm so jealous. The first thing I noticed was all the cruises in your signature, omg!!! Okay, I want your job . No wait a minute, I'm serious. Your report was great, I sweated and laughed along with you (hey, was it hot?). Thanks for a great read tonight!

Thanks for the kind words. Oh and yes, in case I forgot to say....IT WAS HOT! My ankles are still swollen from all the heat and walking.

I get 4 weeks vacation (at least) a year, plus we just announced that our office is closing between Dec 24-Jan 2, so I am going to have to figure out where I can go for another vacation. Don't think I can swing another cruise though since we are going for Thanksgiving this year!

Yes, we will be getting off the Magic Saturday morning and then we will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge Saturday night. We fly home Sunday evening around 5:30 p.m.
