Seats for FoP

So my family went to Disney this past week and they did FoP twice. The first time they described it as 'very very good' then a few days later they sent me a text describing it as 'wow' with a number of emoji's to follow. They said the difference was the seating. The first time they were in spots 15 and 16 and they said the image was a little blurry at times. The second time they were in 7, 8, 9 and 10.

I'm going with the other side of my family in a couple weeks. Is there any way I can make sure we get 'the good' seats? How does it work, can you see the people being positioned and maybe let some people cut in front of you in line if you don't like where you'll end up? Would it be awkward to ask a CM for a certain spot? Note we are using FPs.

The CM loading the attraction will tell you which numbers to stand on.

I've only been on FoP once, but distinctly remember I was in 16, DW was in 15. We had no issues with anything being blurry?

Same for us, seats 15 and 16 and didn’t notice any problems. But I’ve only ridden once.

Maybe it was like rewatching a movie. The second time around you relax into it.

I rode it several times and usually ended up on the end seats - 1/2 or 15/16. They're not as good as the other seats IMO. It's still wonderful, but you don't get quite as immersed (which works well for the more nervous riders in our party!). I did have a better experience when I wasn't on the end seats.

I'm not shy about asking for front row or whatever at Disney. But there just wasn't any graceful way to make similar requests for FoP. So I just sucked it up.

That said, no matter what seat you get...the ride just gets better with each reride!

Very important is to move your head around and towards what you are looking at. Don’t be stiff and then only move your eyes.

I’ve been in the middle and in seat 15. Didn’t have any issues with blurryness or anything like that. Both experiences were as expected.

It's more than seats, like with Soarin, there are different theaters too.
We've ridden it a lot and I'm going to venture to guess, in every single seat position and in all theaters, but not in every seat in every theater, if that makes sense, just in at least seat 1-16 at some point.
It really makes no difference. Not like Soarin does. Best just to take what they give you and relax and focus in to the ride. I've never had a bad one

It isn't a long ride though so not a big deal. In terms of visuals, pretty much no difference. Since it is 3D, it is like the 3D movies where sitting off to the side isn't a problem for the 3D effect at all.

We keep getting sent to "Line 4" and I think that put us on the bottom row each time. Again, seems fine, but I haven't experienced the upper rows yet so I don't really know.

I didn’t feel the need to have my head in a certain position when I was in seat 15. I believe I was in the middle row when I was in that seat as well.

One thing that is key that has been hinted at is that a good way to reduce blurring is to continually look right through the *center* of your glasses. This means turning your head to look to the sides, not just moving your eyes, which will than have you looking through the edges of the glasses.

I had some blurriness last week and I was in 2,13, and 14. But it was just a tad bit of it. Since it was all 3 times, I feel like it might just be my eyes.
