Seating for three

I am taking a last minute trip with two of my friends. While trying to make dinner reservations online, I get a notice saying we "may be seated at different tables". Does anyone have experience with this - is it two tables for two side by side or could we be seated far away from one another? Can't say I would want to be the odd person out sitting all the way on the other side of the restaurant.

We've been told this too when I booked our adr's. We are a party of 5. Never have we been split up though. It usually means that they'll sit you at 2 tables next to each other. When you get to the restaurant, they'll see that you're one party and you should be fine.:thumbsup2

Thanks - how weird would it be to sit at separate tables?

My family is a party of 3 and we were told this for all 9 of our dining ressies for December and we always were seated together

I have been told this when making reservations for two. I really laughed when I got that same message when I made a reservation for myself only. It is an automatic notice with all dining reservations.

It is just like Delta Airlines includes a message on a First Class reservation that I can expect to get charged for checked luggage.

All of our ADR's were done for a party of three and have never been seperated.

Can I ask you a question? When you ate in the restaurants, were you typically given a table for 6, or a table for 4 with an extra chair? We are traveling with 5 for the first time, and hoping for a 6-top instead of being squeezed in.

Thanks!

We've actually had it both ways...a few times it was a table for 4 with an extra chair but most times it was a table for 6. It wasn't so bad at all with the 4 table plus 1 chair but thankfully it was mostly a table for 6!:goodvibes

If I have been in a party of five and they try to give a four-top plus an extra chair I firmly turn it down, especially if it is five adults as it either partially blocks an aisle or blocks someone else's access.
