I have a ressie for the Aloha show and because we are on the dining plan, I was told we could not get category 1 seating, only 2 and 3.

So my question is, should I just pay for the dinner so I can have category 1 seating or is category 2 good enough?

I am curious about this myself because we too have reserved seats for this show in May and we are on DxDP so as of right now we have a cat.2 seating. I am kind of thinking of maybe paying OOP too just to get cat.1 seating but not quite sure yet.

We've done this show in both Cat 1 and Cat 2 and not seen a huge difference. The food is the same and the view if pretty good from anywhere. The only drawback to me overall was that there is no AC so be prepared for that if you are there in the warmed months.

we did tier one this past May and we paid oop.....it was because of the two younger grandkids.....we wanted them to see it all and they did ...we were in the front dead center....we enjoyed the show and the food was pretty good too...Our two grandkids also had a hot dog brought to them and mac and cheese in case they didnt like the luau food....but they also ate that....We really am glad that we went...

We did this in October and used our TS credits. There were just 2 of us. We were in the first row and slightly left of center stage. We thought the seats were great. I was not expecting to be in the first row at all with our cat. 2 seats.
