We are looking at trying HDDR on our next trip for the first time. We will hopefully be on the ddp. My understanding is that on the ddp you can choose catagory 2 or 3. How well are you able to see the show from these seats? We will have our 2 DS ages 10 & 5.

We saw HDDR in December with category 2 seats to the left side when you're facing the stage about halfway back. We thought the seats were great and had no trouble seeing the show. In fact during one part of the show some of the players were standing right next to our table just hanging out and we got some really fun photos in which they played right along. Our kids were 12 & 10 at the time and they enjoyed it. Unless you absolutely want front & center, it looked to me as if any seat would be a good one.

That's just what I wanted to hear! Thank you!

We love HDDR! The category 3 seats up on the balcony give you a great view. The only issue with cat 2 seats is that you could end up in the very back of the floor seating. I'd prefer the balcony of the back floor section.

Really depends on what time you go to dinner. The 8:30 pm showing you can get Cat 1 seating. We have done this numerous times on the DlxDP and have it scheduled again for our trip in Sept. 2015. I believe the 4 pm & 6:30 pm (maybe 4 and 6 pm) shows on the DDP get you the Cat 2 or Cat 3 seating. I have seen that if one of the earlier shows is not sold out they could move you to Cat 1 seating. This happened to my DW and I on a trip a few years ago. We were in Cat 3 seating and they moved us to Cat 1 which was nice. We were in the second row of tables away from the stage in the dead center. One of my DW's friends was picked to be the Can Can girl for a very small portion of the show.

We sat in the last row of the floor, center of the room with category 2. The seats were perfect because the tables were bar height so we were "above" all the tables in front of us.

We've sat in all 3 categories, including the cat 2 seats in the back of the main floor. Never had a problem with seeing everything.

All 3 categories are good seating. Some people prefer cat 3, and enjoy the experience along the balcony with no obscured views. We did category 2 in 2012 and 2013 and loved it. In 2012 we had one of the tables in the back, and I actually loved these because they were higher so we could see everything with no problem. In 2013 we were on the left hand side of the stage, 2nd row and that was great. Last year we did cat 1 and paid OOP and we were right at the stage, our table being next to the man playing the piano... We loved this table! It was so worth paying OOP. The actors/actresses really interacted with us and it was so much fun. We are booked for cat 2 for our upcoming trip. You really can't go wrong with the seating here. The actors aren't on the stage 100% of the time but the majority of the show they are.

I studied the few photos I could find and decided we wanted Category 3. We had a great view, we had entertainer come up by us twice, loved we were slightly removed and still have a great view.

Oh, OK! That definitely makes sense! I hadn't even considered that...

These pics were VERY helpful! It doesn't look like there is a bad seat anywhere! Thank so much!

Welcome. I was frustrated when I was trying to figure out what to book and there were hardly any photos. So I took these in case anyone else was trying to do the same.

Well it is much appreciated! It's very hard to tell the views from the pics that are on the Disney website.

Wow! Thanks for these pictures.

So each side of cat 3 is just one long table? Is that awkward just staring at a wall while dining?

They also preplan your table. Your table seating is based on when you book. The earlier you book the better seat you will get in your category.

No since the server is moving and bringing food and we were busy eating. Then show started and our chairs spun. I was very pleased. The long tables were broken up by parties so we weren't sitting with anyone else. I would absolutely book that again.

I'm glad you posted these pictures. Our seats the last time we went were in the 2nd picture. There is a gentlemen to the left near the stage stairs in a blue hat. Directly behind him is a 4 top table and that is where we sat.

In the 3rd picture you posted is where we sat the time before that (Nov. 2013 trip for the W&D Half). Our table was the tall table directly below the spot light next to the server (her right side since she is facing the stage).

Our other trips we have just been in the middle (cat 1) of the floor. We may be off to the side this year though. There are 5 of us going so it should be interesting on where they sit us. :)

Thanks for the pictures... They are pretty good for the lower lighting in there.
