Seating assignments question?

Hi All, I am wondering if anyone knows the answer to a question that I just thought of. My sil, niece and Me and my son are cruising next year. We got seperate cabins but we both have the same last name and our cabins are next to each other. Will we be seated at the same table. We want to be together and it will be fun to have other table mates, I think I just assumed that since we have the same last name that we would be. Thanks for help.

I would call DCL to ask them to link your reservations just to be sure.

KEH is correct....you must call DCL or your TA if you want to be seated together and they must link your reservations. They most probably would have seated you next to each other at dinner since you did have the same last names but that is not always a guarantee unless the ressies are linked.

However I do think that they also look at last names (though this would not be a guarantee). I have a not very common last name. I was traveling with my partner and we were one of the first in the dining room. We got to our table and our assistant waiter was there. I gave him my last name, he asked when the others were coming and I was confused and said it was just us. He looked very confused and my partner looked over his shoulder at the list the assistant waiter had and realized that there was another family on board with the same, not very common, last name. I guess they assumed that we were related. So even though DCL normally seems to try to seat adults with other adults and families with families, we ended up at a table with two families with kids and we all had a great time.

Of course the first night there was a lot of discussions to see if there was any possible way we could be releated, our conclusion was that if we are it is very very distant.
