Seasons of the Force

My fellow SWW fans! Seasons of the Force sounds interesting, not that I have any idea what it it.
However, three is rumor that it might be a replacement for SWW.
Because it looks like it is earlier in the year, it would definitely mess up the plans of people wanting to attend SWW 2016.

Still, I am really interested to know how this is all going to work out!

I really am curious too. With all the construction happening, SWW could be very difficult to put on next year. I hope they still do it though - definitely my favorite.

This sounds amazing! They said "early 2016" so I wonder if it could happen as soon as January??

I hope they announce dates soonish - our AP expires in late January - IF they are going to do it early in the year I'd like to know so I can renew them (get the renewal discount). If it is going to be May/June like SWW now I'll hold off and buy new APs at that point.....either way - very excited about all of the Star Wars news!!

What do the new fireworks mean? They always have fireworks for SWW, maybe just a new set instead of Symphony of the Stars? As if it needed a new set? I hope they do come earlier in the year. Memorial Day overlapping with the SWW and the 24 hr day and the So Called Happy Days, plus school getting out? Earlier would be better I think...

I really want some kind of schedule! I'm booked with points for May in hopes for sww! If it's going to be earlier I need to switch things around now before the 7 month mark! Wish they could have given some dates even if they weren't firm yet!

Early 2016 to me sounds like it should hopefully be before spring. I wish this would be the case because as much as I loved going to SWW May is just too darn hot. I wonder if they are going to try to compete with US Harry Potter Expo.

If their pass ends in January and they aren't going back again until May then the renewal discount would be less than waiting to purchase for 5 months that they won't be used.

Yup.

The renewal discount is often a poor way of buying an AP, if the dates of your pending trips don't fall within your current AP anniversary dates.

I am really hoping this hits in time for us to catch it in Feb. There are no showing of Fantasmuc or fining packages out for out timframe yet, and I am hoping this is why!

I wonder if Universal is quaking right now over these announcements.

I doubt it....they have a huge following of their own...and are still getting more and more Disney fans coming over because of HP. DHS won't be "whole" again for 5-7 years by most unofficial projections. Universal has more plans to improve their offerings too and they have a record of doing it in 1-2 years.....so they could easily put in a couple of major projects before Disney gets this done (sigh). And loyalty goes a long way for many years.....and Universal is getting a lot of loyalists. If anything I'd say that Disney, much as I love them, was quaking over the loses and went HUGE partly to stem the flow towards Universal.

All that said, I'm not a HP fan, and have never been to Universal....but have friends who practically live there, lol. I just hope with all these additions Disney rethinks raising prices quite as drastically as they did with NFL.....not sure how much more people have in their wallets even for something like this newness. I will definitely go at least once....but if it gets much more expensive, I may have to shorten my trips or skip years, or just finally be done with Disney for a while.

Good grief....sounds like yet another event set for when the kids are in school. SWW was the only special event in the summer, and we loved it. Had planned to go back in 2016. Guess I'll make plans but not tell the kids in case it gets yanked.

I have also heard rumors that SWW won't happen next year, the only thing I can think of doing right now is emailing Disney and asking. If enough people do this they will probablyr elease an announcement either way.

I'm so excited for this because right now I'll be in WDW from Feb 27-March 5 2016. I will only have one Saturday and one Friday there. I hope "early 2016" means it will be out by then. Since The Force Awakens opens in December I would think (hope) they will keep the momentum going and release this in January and perhaps keep it going until SWW. I will be sailing on the Fantasy right before with Star Wars Day at Sea. This is a 40th birthday trip! Let's see if this will be a Star Wars packed birthday!
