Seasons of the Force

We have a hotel reservation for early June to attend our first SWW. Luckily, I could still cancel, if I needed to. I am going to hold off on airline tickets a bit more; most of the airlines don't even have flights up for then really. I hope it happens. We have been planning this since May of this year.

I was at the announcement. They seemed to highlight the fact that Disneyland will be getting a Star Wars event, not so much that Florida is changing. I don't know that the events will be held on the same dates on both coasts. Like a lot of the announcements made, nothing really concrete on dates.

I'm curious if they will be releasing Seasons of the Force for the Star Wars Half Marathon weekend in Disneyland next January. I think that would be a great time to kick it off, especially since we will be there for it! :-)

I'm wondering if SWW may not be happening because maybe, just maybe, the construction will be under way when SWW usually happens, and that this is maybe a stop gap measure to still capitalize on the release of Force Awakens....

it's a longshot, I know..>Disney isn't exactly one for moving that fast....but w/the rumors of the Jingle Jangle Jamboree at DLR (in the Big Thunder Ranch area, which is supposedly where SW land is going there) maybe not happening this year, combined with rumors of SWW in FL not happening as usually scheduled...maybe they're planning on moving on these lands faster than in the past?

I have a reservation at BWV towards the end of May during what we thought would be a SWW based on the dates of previous years. I hope they announce the dates or the lack of SWW earlier this year. If I have to wait till December to know if I get to go to my first SWW it's gonna be brutal.

We are in the same boat. I already have our reservations for POR, but I am holding off on the airplane tickets. I pretty much have stopped my planning until I find out. I am also supposed to run the SWW roll call thread this year, so I would like to know if I am going to need to do that. I really hope they don't cancel it. We have been planning our first SWW trip since May:(

I know nothing, but I can't see Disney not having SWW for 2016. You have all the new fans from the release of The Force Awakens, the amount of events that they can add to the experience and lets face it, DHS will need all the help it can get till they finish Toy Story Land. The right group of people to help push the excitement for the upcoming Star Wars Land right there willing to pay you to let them bring out the excitement of what ever you announce about Star Wars Land, movies, tv, toys, what ever. Now I don't see Disney keeping SWW going after they open Star Wars Land, but who knows.

Ohhh I hope they don't do away with SWW. We've been many times and were hoping to go back in 2017. We decided to do Disneyland next year, so at least that gives me time to plan for 2017 accordingly.
