Seasonale??

I am thinking of switching from Depo to Seasonale. Can anyone give me the good, bad, and ugly?

I'm an example of the "ugly". I was "on" for 7 weeks.

I am also an example of the ugly. I too was "on" for a good part of the 12 weeks. Switched back to my old 3 weeks off 1 on pack. It is also VERY expensive if you don't have insurance that covers it. For my it was $130 for 12 weeks vs. $75 for my regular pill so almost twice the cost.

I've been on Seasonale for 18 months and I love it! I have always taken bc pills continuously so that part is no different for me. But I used to have a $20 copay every three weeks to get another packet of pills...now I just have a $20 every three MONTHS! Yay!!

Talk to your Gyn...there is no reason to take the brand Seasonal. You can control your periods with any pills. My DS and I both take Microgestin. Its great for light periods and no periods.
My DS has a period every 4 months, I don't have one at all. they never came. It has been great for me. We are the success stories for sure. It has helped immensly with my migraines. I have been on the constant pill for a year and a half. no problems healthwise or other. It has been fantastic for me.

I never had a migraine until I was on seasonale. I also was HOT all the time. Not hot flashes, just burning up HOT.

When I came off that, the heat went away as did the migraines.

I am a good!! I have been on it about a year and a half...no issues at all and I only pay 20/month for a 3 month supply...I use to do it with my other bills but I was paying more per month for that have having less days in a month..
I like it...

I have had no problems at all. It is more expensive though but, for me, well worth the extra 30 or 40 every three months

True! I take Alesse for 2 months at a time to help with migraines.

I've been on seasonale for about 8 months now. The first 3 months I had lots of breakthru bleeding/spotting or whatever you want to call it. My dr told me that might happen. Since then I haven't had any problems at all. I do pay $75 for a 3 month supply but would have to do that with any type of birth control pill I get.

this is very true. I am on Portia. I take active pills for nine weeks then for the tenth week I'll take the placebo pill. I have heard a lot of horror stories about Seasonal, but those stories are no reason why you could not acheive the same effect with a different brand of pill.
