Why are some attractions seasonal (ie. Carousel of Progress and The Timekeeper)? They seem to get good reviews in guidebooks, which would (you’d think!) make lots of people want to see them. Is it just because they’re older attractions and not thrill rides? Is it also because of their location? (For example, do you think these attractions would fare better in Epcot’s Future World, as Epcot has less attractions than MK?)

Just curious...

Costs are the major factor. During off-seasons, attractions like COP,Timekeeper and those at the Wonders of Life have very low attendance. So shutting them down saves on labor and energy costs....However, we never go during a peak season and miss out on these attractions. It would be nice if they were open year-round regardless.....I think it would make for better show.
