I recently bought 4 florida resident seasonal passes, my question is can I use the annual pass codes (on mousesavers) and discounts? I read on a post here that you can use all the same codes and get the same discounts as the AP. Can someone clarify? thanks for all your help!!!;)

Yes, you can use the AP discounts as a seasonal passholder---
The only differences that I've run across since I've had a seasonal pass are:

Parking at the parks is free for AP, not for seasonal

Some events are only for APs---I found this out the hard
way, after making a special trip to WDW to go to the
Passholders preview of the Osborne Lights---And was told
at the entrance that I couldn't go in--It was for APs only--
An embarassing experience, made worse by the first-ever
rude cast member, but after making me feel about 2" tall,
he did let me in------So check with Disney Info re. Special
Events, and get the person's name , just in case......

And you can use your discounts for rooms, etc., even at the
times of year that you can't use the pass for park entry
(per Disney Info--They're on my phone speed dial)

Hope this helps--

Thanks Kathleen, I had no idea there were other restrictions besides the parking.

As far as the Osborne lights, my sister has a seasonal & was let in on the AP night. I am seasonal & last year when AK had the AP lougne I wasn't allowed in. This year I emailed Guest Services & asked if I would be allowed in & told them of being refused (and embarrased too) and they emailed back saying it should have been open to all passholders....seasonal & annual. They told me that if I had a problem this year, to go to the guest services at the park & they would help me. I went to the parks in June & had no problems at all in either of the lounges... I think it is just the CM's...some of them may not be as informed as the others. I was also told (in my email) that the only difference in the pass is the parking......so next time I am refused something I will go above that CM to verify......

Yes, the only differences as far as Disney is concerned between the annual and and seasonal passes are the parking and blackout dates for the seasonal. Both are considered annual passes for the purposes of all passholder events. If a castmember tells you differently, immediately get that person's name and go straight to guest services. In fact, Disney usually tries to have the passholder events that are inside the parks during times when the seasonal passes are not blacked out so those passholders may go as well. If you show up at one of the passholder lounges with a seasonal pass during the times that the seasonal is blacked out, they may be surprised that you're there, but if you purchased a one-day ticket or some other ticket in order to get into the park that day, and have your seasonal pass, they should let you in, because all persons with passes, regardless of whether they are annual, premium annual, or seasonal, are considered "passholders" by Disney. The tickets which do NOT qualify you as a "passholder" for Disney are the Ultimate Park Hopper (or whatever the current name is for the length-of-stay tickets on hotel room keys, they seem to change the name every few months LOL), Park Hoppers, Park Hopper Plus, and One-day tickets.

I just emailed Guest Services, to clarify once and for all---I'm going Sept. 5th for my birthday, and would feel better having something in writing to show, in case I meet another rude CM..I'll post what I hear from them--------

UPDATE Sat. 8/31 I finally heard back from WDW.....Michele from the Executive Office left a phone message yesterday. She said that the Passholder Lounges were open to All passholders, but " Some events are for Annual Passholders only " -------Which only brings up the same questions: Which are? Which aren't? And why the exclusion in the first place????

This has now become a < MISSION > I'm starting off with a Fedex to Manager, Passholder Relations (cc to some VP's @WDW,and probably Michael Eisner) If anyone knows the street address for WDW, or any suggestions, please let me know..........

Well good for you- that way you'll have something in hand to show them if they try to stop you. If guest services does happen to say differently, however, I would appreciate it if you could post it here, because I would pursue this myself, even though I have a different kind of pass. They should tell you basically what I've told you though.

When they email you back, would you mind either posting the whole email here or forwarding to me? I would like to have something like that on hand in case of possible rejection of my "rights"!
Thanks!
