Season of the Force worth a weekend trip?

We visited Disneyland in October for Halloween before all the closures and the start of the Season of the Force. We don't have any trips on the horizon, which is unusual for us, but I was thinking about a short weekend trip (we live in NorCal) to see the Star Wars stuff--especially Hyperspace mountain. Do you guys think the Season of the Force warrants a special trip? Is all the stuff pretty cool? What are your favorite additions? Anything can't miss?

Any impressions would be appreciated. It would be an expensive weekend, which probably goes without saying :)

It's worth a quick visit. Kylo Ren now one of the characters onsite. :)

Thanks so much for the feedback. The characters are definitely a big draw. Wish I had a better idea of how long they would be around...

Launch Bay isn't part of "Season of the Force," it just opened on that day. Only the TLT overlay, the Hyperspace SM overlay and Path of the Jedi are. Also, they're forcing the new segment on all Star Tours rides, but it will go into the rotation once they stop doing that.

IMO, it's totally worth it...love, love, love Hyperspace Mountain, and the Star Wars-themed menu at Galactic Grill/Tomorrowland Terrace, and getting to meet Chewy!

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. We are all big Star Wars fans so I'd hate to miss the temporary (or at least not yet extended) attractions like hyperspace mountain. That's one of the big reasons I'm even thinking about it. It's an over $2500 weekend all in for our family of four, but I'm not sure when we'd have another opportunity before next fall. Summer is crazy this year for us.

LOL, we are headed down for a weekend getaway this weekend to see Hyperspace Mountain, meet Chewy, etc. so my answer is yes. Airfare is over $1,000, 2 day park-hoppers for 4 are over $800, and our off-site hotel will be about $350 for 2 nights (BWPPI, instead of DLH like our last trip), but memories are priceless! I also fully intend to use the savings from staying off-site on food and in-park souvenirs (we're trying Carthay Circle for the first time and will eat lots of churros, Dole Whips, turkey legs, etc.).

If you are Star Wars fans, then it is definitely worth it. Don't miss Hyperspace Mountain.

That is too funny! Almost our exact numbers. Only difference is that I was pricing one night of hotel and not two at PPH. We've never stayed there, usually stay at GC (DVC). Carthay is really good--we eaten there a couple of times. I neglected to mention that I'm looking over Easter weekend, which is why it's a little more expensive.

That's what I was thinking--entire family falls in fan category and we'd hate to miss it.

It was totally worth the trip, Loved Hyperspace Mountain.
I think you guys have convinced me! Going to check into everything again and make sure prices haven't gone up... Thanks to everyone for chiming in. Really appreciate.

My family and I LOVED Hyperspace Mountain! LOVED it. We went on it 3 times in one day! We also loved everything else about Season of the Force. Meeting Darth was truly amazing!

Well the force must be with us ... I just looked on the DVC website and was able to score a studio room for the Saturday night of Easter weekend--pretty awesome. Also realized most of us had enough points for free flights on Southwest so the cost will mostly be food and park tickets. MUCH cheaper. Thanks again everyone!

If you can DO IT! Hyper Space Mountain was super cool and I hope they keep it that way for a long time!!!

Hyperspace Mountain is awesome! I also really love the character meets!
