Hi everyone. I am trying to find the 'perfect' bag to take with me on my trip next month to carry in the parks. It's just myself going. I don't have a lot to carry so I don't need a large backpack or anything. I know that the Bagallini's are very popular on this board - but I have yet to find one that I like. Does anyone have any other ideas for where I can look for a cute bag to take? Thanks.

I always shop for the perfect bag to take to the parks. On our last trip I found one at Target. I really like it. Lots of pockets. It was part back pack, part shoulder bag. However, when we arrived at WDW on our first night we went to Downtown Disney. While I was at the World of Disney, I found tons of the cutiest bags ever. All sorts of WDW logos. I ended up buying one there and never used the other one. My suggestion is to wait and buy one there. Trust me, you will find what you are looking for.

I LOVE the bag I took- it is made by Eagle Creek- $30- and has lots of pcokets- fit my small camera, wallet, phone, maps, etc- not too big or too small. I got it at a local outdoors store

My new favorite WDW bag is a little bag I picked up in the Mitsukoshi store in Japan in Epcot. It's a small rectangular bag that goes over your shoulder, across your body, hanging about hip level. I'd say the dimensions are roughly 10" long by 6" wide. It has the main zippered compartment & 2 outside zippered compartments.

I don't carry much anymore. It's big enough for wallet, sunglasses, cel phone, small camera, mints, chapstick & a little bottle I keep advil/tums etc in.

My favorite bag is one I found at the Fossil store long ago. I still use it. BUT, I did order another bag which is really nice that I used on our last trip as well. I heard about it here on the boards. The brand is Kavu. If you look at their website, they have a lot of different bags, different sizes, etc. I think the one I got is the Kavu Keeper.

Are you at the stage where you can go bagless? That is exactly what I did on my solo trip last month. Now, I did have a # of pockets in both my capris and my shirt. I was able to carry a sunscreen stick, a billfold with my roomkey/ticket, some cash, a poncho, a 2 gallon ziploc bag, a small notebook and pen, my cellphone, my notecards, my medication and the key to my safe at Pop. :thumbsup2

Eastland has a small backpack that is mesh that I really like. We carry water so we need something a little bigger, but this is not regular backpack size. The mesh lets you see what is inside and it is very lightweight.

Check out the Vera Bradley bags- they are wonderful with lots of pockets

This is the one that I bought and have packed to go to the parks in TWO DAYS! :thumbsup2

It is small and light but so far, I have everything I need in it. It also hangs across the chest at hip length. I think I will like it better than a backpack. I'll let you know when we get back how it works out!!!

BTW... I bought it in black and it was about $15.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

tink2007 - knowing me, I'll want a bag for when I first get there and then I'll also buy a cute bag (..or 2.. or 3..) at DTD or at the parks. I think I'm a bag-a-holic. Shhh! don't tell anyone.. :rolleyes1

IMGONNABE40! - I don't think that I will ever be to the point where I can go bagless. Especially since I love bags too much. (see above :teeth: ) But wow! I'm amazed by how much you were able to carry without a bag. I don't think that I could ever pull that off.

Take a look at the ll bean healthy back bag. I just bought a microfiber one for 19.95 on their website. The small is plenty big. It is water resistant and stain resistant and has a gazillion pockets. You wear it over one shoulder. Check it out on llbean.com.

I used the greatest bag on our last trip!

It is the M2Go Backpack from creative memories (scrapbooking...)

Here is a photo:

It is perfect when travelling with children because across the strap it has 3 clear slots that hold a photo. I had my childrens photos in there in case we were ever separated the photos were accessible for quick use. I could just show the photo to security or other people around to help me find my kids. (I only had to experience my son at age 5 walking away from me once to be scared into always having a photo with me!) :scared1:

It also is the perfect slot size for the room keys, park passes, fast passes, etc. It is small and not heavy!

What brand is this one?

QVC offers a great line of bags by Travelon. You can easily carry a cell phone, camera, passport, airline tickets etc. The 7x9 is a great size. They come in leather, micro-fiber, and suede. plus it's delivered to your door.

YES! This is the bag we use. I had my initials put on it, too, so no one could "borrow" it at the parks LOL! DH carries it most of the time.

And we also don't bring as much as we did when the kids were older, but I like being able to slip smaller things that we buy into the bag, saving us the time to fill out the dreaded send-the-bag-to-the-resort paper work (that service is wonderful for heavy things, but one T-shirt? It goes in the bag!).
