Search never works....

Ok, I'm looking for something I know I saw here but can't remember where. Something about a Sweetheart dining package available at certain DL, DCA and hotel restaurants. I even searched DL.com and couldn't find it......anyone??

I even remember seeing a thread about the Sweetheart dining thing on this specific forum not too long ago, but if I recall, at the time I saw it, no one had posted in it yet or there were very few posts. In any case, it seems to have vanished completely from the archives and everywhere, unless the name of the thread was changed.

For some reason I think I also recall Nancy (YellowMickeyPonchos) mentioning to someone on a different thread about a special Sweetheart (or maybe Valentine's Day?) thing that Napa Rose does for couples.

There is also info on mouseplanet on it. I think it starts jan 5th. There are also new birthday things, and a bbq at big thunder ranch/Woodys roundup.

The Napa Valentines Day menu is pretty spectacular. Chef Sutton does a special "aphrodisiac foods" menu. We had it a few years back and it was terrific. Definitely a "must-do" with a loved one, once in your lifetime!

i wish Napa Rose wasn't so expensive!! my fiancee's (wife on saturday!!) birthday is Feb 15th. so far i've only been able to afford to take her to Napa Rose once for a special b-day/ valentine's day weekend. maybe one of these other restaurants or even napa rose's prix fixe sweetheart dinner will be more affordable?

I know it was here that I saw it, I only go here and the Budget Board. LOL Very rarely I drop in on the Families Board and Disigns but usually this is it for me.

Here's how I get the search to work...

Start by clicking Search in the bar at the top of the page. It opens a little menu box w/ a place to type. Instead of typing, click "advanced search".

It will open a new page (blue page). Click on "advanced search" again over on the left below the "key word" search box. That will open another menu below. Then type in whatever you want to search for in that "key word" box or you can even search by user name if you are looking for something that a particular DISer posted.

Then go to the DIS menu on the bottom right, with all the forums listed. You can scroll down to search whatever forum you want, or you can search ALL of the DIS. However, if you search everything it takes FOREVER!!! Just select "Disneyland (California)" if you are looking for something posted on this board.

I learned this from another DISer quite awhile ago, and it is still the way that I can find things easily. Hopefully it can help so of you to!

I did ALL of that, and I even checked the Archives, and the (sort of) thread about the Sweetheart package that had been started on the Disneyland forum had vanished - or possibly renamed - forever! Then again, the last time I recall seeing it, it either had no responses or only a couple. So maybe it was just deleted? It wasn't even about finding it to get information from it because no one had posted. It was more about finding it to prove to myself I wasn't crazy and that I HAD seen it!
