I'm making plans for our 2nd annual "parents only, let's celebrate our anniversary and birthdays" all rolled into one. Originally I had booked a 3 night Disney Wonder cruise leaving on Thursday and getting back on Sunday. Well, I just found out that there is a special 4 night Magic cruise that's sailing Tuesday-Saturday during the same time. I checked with my DU agent and I was able to get the 4 night for $200 less. So what to do with the savings and the extra weekend day? Why spend a night at WDW of course. DH and I love the GF, but I want to try something different this time. Right away, I knew that I wanted AKL. It was perfect. We only had one night to stay there, so I wasn't concerned with transportation and it seemed like a quiet, romantic resort. I'm just about ready to send in the payment when I start questioning myself. Would a Boardwalk resort be better? Epcot is DH's favorite park and after 4 nights of quiet and romance on the cruise, we might actually enjoy some crowd interaction. Plus, there is the ESPN Zone nearby and I'm pretty sure that weekend will have the football divisional playoffs and I was reading up on the Illuminations cruise. I looked at the 5 resorts in that area and I'm really leaning towards the Yacht Club. Now I'd like to hear your concierge experience. I'd probably only use their pre-planning services for the Illuminations cruise. Is there a separate concierge check in or do you need to go through the front desk? If by chance anyone used the health club center, how was it? DH loves a good health club, especially those that offer steam, sauna and whirlpool.
Thanks for any and all help,
