Already booked a room for 4, but now another friend may want to join us on our trip. Can we put a rollaway in the rooms at the Dolphin?

yes :) if it's an adult there will be an extra charge. kids are free.

I have ressies for 5 at the Dolphin next June(2 adults & 3 kids) & they are charging me for an adult roll-away.

I'm in your same boat.....
Need a room for 2 adults, 3 kids....
What was the charge for the rollaway?
Are there only certain rooms yo can get
or can you have the view rooms everyone
talks about???

Our group of three adults and two kids was going to stay at the Dolphin in August but wound up staying at the Polynesian instead because of the FTP. The charge for the rollaway was $25 per night.

We are a family of 5 as well and we just returned from the Dolphin in September. The rollaway is indeed $25/night and I really didn't want to add this onto our 8 night stay. I went to Target and purchased an Eddie Bauer twin-sized air mattress. This particular mattress has a pump built right into the side of the mattress....takes 4 "D" batteries. We packed it in the luggage and it didn't take up much room at all. At night, we would inflate the mattress for my son and in the morning deflate and store in the closet.

The pump lays flat against the side of the mattress so there is nothing prodruding. It is very quiet....you twist the cover one way to inflate and the other way to deflate. It was a godsend and only cost $49.99 on sale. In addition to saving $150 over the cost of the rollaway, we have something to use at home for the kids' sleepovers as well.

HTH's!!

I was there from 27 Sept-3 Oct with 5 people (2 Adults and 3 kids) and wasn't charged any extra fees. I checked into it before I left and was told that kids under 18 are free.

The extra charge would be for the use of the roll-away....no matter who uses it (ie: child vs. adult). The charge is not for the 3rd child. There may be an additional charge on top of the roll-away charge for an extra adult though.

We were going to stay at the Dolphin (our favorite hotel!) this spring, but with 3 adults and 2 kids, the extras were just too much, so we switched to 2 rooms at the Pop Century. It was $25 per night extra for the 3rd adult, PLUS $25 per night for the rollaway, so and extra $50 per night offset the wonderful teacher discount. We are flying in so couldn't really lug an air bed.

Bimmy56: We flew in as well and only had 3 large pieces of luggage for the 5 of us (plus 1 small carryon). The air mattress took up no more room than maybe 2 pairs of DH's folded jeans. It deflated very slim....especially if you used the pump in reverse to suck out all the air. :bounce:
