Seal beach

We stopped briefly in Seal Beach on a trip 2 years ago and loved it. We would like to go back and spend part of a day there. Can anyone suggest anywhere good to eat? Family of four, (DS 19, DD16) looking for good food. Not necessarily gourmet or fine dining as we will be probably coming from the beach.

We ate at Walt's Wharf at Seal Bay last year. It was recommended to me by franandaj and another Dis-er, who lived locally.

Have fun! We liked Seal Beach.

And not sure if you already know this, but over at the Naples Canals, you can actually do a gondola ride through them. We missed out because the wind was blowing the wrong way, but we walked through the canals. They are actually prettier than the ones at Venice.

Ruby's at the end of the pier is a favorite here. The BBQ place on Main St is also very good. It's one of those cozy, tight places but worth it.

Yes! I couldn't for the life of me remember the name even though I've either been in it or walked by it a hundred times... The nachos are really good.

Does anyone have any hotel suggestions for a family of 4 in or very near the Seal Beach area?? Not looking for a bed and breakfast but something clean and convenient. Are there any Hyatts nearby?
