Has anyone done this excursion? Is it brand new? I don't recall it! I'd love to hear any and all information about this one! TIA!!!

My dad (72) and I (47) did it a year ago. They take you out to a reef about 20 minutes from the ship. The reef is beautiful and the snorkeling is great. BUT!!!---don't expect them to keep a close eye on you! Even though they do have several people in the water on boards. I guess they were looking at the girls, or something, but my Dad took in water and nearly drowned. He made it back to the catamaran on his own where he was helped on board then collapsed into unconsciousness ultimately being evacuated and spending 5 nights in a hospital in Ft. Lauderdale. Do watch out for yourselves!!!

Slabeaume: Sorry to hear about your experience! That must have been very scary! My brother took in too much water the time we went but thankfully after 15 minutes sitting he felt much better!

cotomom: We did this excursion in October of 2003. We loved it here! I was silly and thought by the name of the excursion we would actually be seeing seahorses! We did see some great fish and the reefs were amazing. I had never been snorkeling before! I took some great pictures with a disposable underwater camera! I would highly recommend going! We really enjoyed it!

Yes, did it last summer. There are a couple of different reefs around the island that they can go to. It was kinda adventurous the day we did it, there were storm squalls in the area, the boat driver kept making u-turns and going the other way to try and outrun the squalls and find a spot that wouldn't get rained on. We spent more time than usual just riding around the island on the boat in choppy water. Can you say seasick? :umbrella: Once we finally stopped and everyone got in the water, we were all fine. The reef was beautfiful.
