ok, we booked seabreeze point for 3:00-intimate wedding. I am going to search through the old posts for pics, etc, but if anyone has any thoughts, let me know. I really don't know much about this location because I have been planning on the Yacht Club for about 6 months now.
The other thing is that we decided to change the ceremony to 3 instead of 5 because the lady we spoke to said we may be rushed to get to the dinner at the Yachtsman if we made it for five, so I was wondering-do these things start exactly on time or can they fluctuate a little? I am now thinking that starting at 3 may be too early and we will be standing around forever.
Another thing I was wondering is will we be able to get married and eat dinner and still be able to ride the limo back to our hotel? Or will we have to ride some other form of transportation back?

My wedding was at 3:00 pm at SBP. I think we started a little late but only by a few minutes. With the ceremony, cake cutting, pictures and dance it took up a good amount of time. We then did some pictures at the Boardwalk Inn. The limo made 2 trips to get us to the Yachtclub. Our dinner reservation was for 5:30 pm. We met up in the lobby of the Yacht Club and then went to the Crew's Cup for a drink. We weren't even done with the drink before we were seated in the Yachtsman Steakhouse. We spent around 2 hours at the restaurant. The limo took 1/2 the guests back to the Boardwalk, the rest of us walked which helped after eating so much food. We had the limo to 8:00 pm and the driver said he'd wait at the Boardwalk for my guests while the guys got out of their tuxes. When my guests went to get the limo it was gone :sad2:

We couldn't believe he just left after saying he'd wait. It wasn't like we were expecting free time, and he left without receiving his tip. The limo was contracted through Disney from Mears. Good thing both Mom and Rick and I had cars at the Boardwalk so the guest could get driven back to their resorts.

We originally had a 3p ceremony booked but moved it to 5p because SBP is soooo beautiful around sunset (we will be in December). I asked my coordinator if this was good with a 7p ps at CG and she said it would be perfect. We are renting the limo an extra two hours (outside of the four) just in case so our guests (and ourselves) don't have to ride Disney transportation back to their resorts.

We had an intimate wedding, and our entire ceremony, pictures, cake cutting, etc. took about 2.5 hours, without rushing, so I would probably count on that time frame. If you want a 5:00 ceremony, I don't see why 7:30 or 8:00 would be too late for dinner.
Cheers!

well, I was going to do 7 or 8, but she said that Yachtsman likes to make their large party reservations at 5:00 so they are sure that they have tables.

Thats what we were told also. It's harder for them to prepare for a big group in the middle of dinner time.

With our limo we had ordered an extra 2 hours and the limo driver still left

Oh man, I will be knocking someone out if that happens to us! Thanks for the heads up!

I may be asking too quickly because I am supposed to get my planning package in a couple of weeks, but how much is the limo for extra hours?

I have another one: If I don't get the limo for extra time, what is the best transportation to get from yachtsman steakhouse to port Orleans French Quarter? Keeping in mind of course that I will be in my gown. Time will probably be between 7 and 8.

I got my planning kit about a week after contacting Disney and booking the wedding.
Here are the prices I was quoted in my planning kit from Disney on transportation:
· Towncar for Airport/Marriage License/Resort Transfer $105.00
· One-way Limousine Transfer on Disney property $106.00
· Limousine Charter (with a four (4) hour consecutive minimum $73.00 per hour
· Additional Hours added to Limousine Charter $73.00 per hour
· One Way Town Car Transfers on Disney Property $21.00

I would think if it was only the two of you, you would do better with just getting the towncar transfer for $21 to POFQ. I know I would not want to ride the Disney buses in my dress! Geesh, when I think about it, it will be cheaper to send all my guests back to their resorts in one-way town cars....hmmm.

We had our ceremony at the WP, reception at the GF and dinner at the Yachtsman (wasn't it great, Deb!). We had our limo from 3 til 7. Instead of adding on hours we opted for the towncar transfer. One of our friends drove, so we got two towncars to take us back to OKW. Our dinner at the Yachtsman lasted from 6:30 to 8:30 and the towncars were there right on time. My EM arranged the towncars for us. HTH!

Oh, I'm so glad to have these boards! Getting five one-way towncars as opposed to an additional two hours of the limo would save us lots of time and not to mention $40. Does Disney charter out those many town cars at once though? I can see them all lined up in front of CR like a presidential motorcade...haha.

Wow! towncars do seem like the way to go! We are probably going to do that!

Yes, these boards are great! I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you all to help!!

Inloveindisney,
You sound exactly like me! I too was planning on a wedding at the Yacht Club Gazebo, but just last week switched to Sea Breeze Point. I was actually up in the air about the location the whole time, but in the end, SBP was just a better fit for what we wanted. I'm so glad I am going with SBP now. My ceremony is also at 3:00, and we have dinner res at 5:00. But now that I read some other posts, I hope we don't feel rushed!
Keep us update on your plans! So far they sound great!

Also just wanted to confirm to you that I had real trouble with booking a large party into the Yachtsmand for the night after our wedding - we ended up with a 6.0pm booking for 10 of us. Don't know if that helps you or not ?
