Hi everyone!

We'll be spending a week in Disney this coming August and we thought that this time around we'd go to Sea World.

Is Sea World a full day trip?

Is there anywhere in Sea World to eat dinner other than a burger and fries place?

Is it possible to see all the shows in one day? If no, what are the not-to-miss shows?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

yes there are other things to eat that burgers and chips, there are nice resturants in the waterfront area.

you could do it in a day, depending on what you want to see and dont, you wouldn't be able to do every thing.

if you do the park inthe whole day, morning til park closure you could get alot done, if you go see all the major shows in the evening (dolphins, sealions, shamu thn fireworks), in that order, the dolphins show starts round 5pm ish most days, the the sealions show will run after the dolphin show finishs, giving you time to walk between stadiums, the same regarding shamu and fireworks. (hope you understand what i mean)

then in the mornning and afternoon, you can do all the animal attractions (dolphins, stringrays, pengiuns), kraken, wild artic etc..

There is Shark Grill and Dine with Shamu. But if you want to get everything done in one day, you may want to stick with faster meals rather than sit-down restaurants.

SeaWorld is now a multi-day park if you really want to see all shows and all attractions. As far as shows to not miss: Clyde and Seamore in the Sea Lion and Otter Stadium (be there early or the mime will have some fun with you to the amusement of the other guests), Blue Horizons in the Whale and Dolphin Theatre, Believe in Shamu Stadium and Odysea in the Nautilus Theatre. You will survive if you miss any of the other shows. As for dining: most restaraunts are counter service. Some of the better ones are Spice Mill Cafe (good chicken), Anheuser-Bush Hospitality House (huge sandwiches), Seafire Inn, and Smoky Creek Grill (good ribs). If you have to have a full service meal then try Sharks Underwater Grill. The Makahiki Luau is also fun, but we did not like it as much as the Sprit of Aloha luau at the Polynesian. As for attractions: Kraken, Atlantis, Wild Arctic and Shark Encounter shoul not be missed. Fill any spare time with Shamu's Happy Harbor. The kids will appreciate the only place in the park to cool off with water themed fun (water canons, wading pools, water balloons etc.)

Final tip: Save Believe for the end of the day. The last show is run after everything else is closed. It is SeaWorld's way of closing out the day. The special effects are also better at night.

well first off sea world is alot of fun and i did almost everything in one whole day i know it's crazyand in one day i have done the shamu day and night sshow( don't miss either) an the clyde and seamore show, and pets hoy, and the dolphin show was under construction when i went but is suppose to be great so don't miss it!!!!!! and they have alot of diffrent resteraunts like fast food and sit down, and you can even dine with shamu so lots of FUN,FUN,FUN!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

My family and I used to do Sea World all in one day before they offered the 2nd day free. We had no trouble fitting everything in back then. Now, you almost need to have the second day because there is so much to do at the park. Plus lines and crowds are sometimes long and bad. Plus you have to be at each of the shows at least a half hour early in order to get good seats. Please keep these considerations in mind.

DH and I just returned from SW and DC. We didn't really like SW and would have been disappointed if we had purchased this ticket separate from our DC admission (it was included). While we found the park very pretty and the food and souvenirs very reasonable compared to Disney, the shows were LAME and pretty cheesy...and I don't mean in a good way. We got there when the park opened at 9am and we were out of there at 1pm. We saw a lot of the shows including Shamu, the Clyde and Seamore and Pets Ahoy. Pets Ahoy was really the only decent one...I didn't really feel that 10 minutes of clapping and saying "Shamu, Shamu" was really that fun. The animal exhibits were great but not worth a whole day. And the rides were pretty lame too. Sorry all you SW lovers...maybe I am a Disney die hard through and through but I was disappointed...but not with DC. It was AWESOME, AMAZING, FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL, I could go on and on......

To the PP-did you have to pay for the parking at Sea World when you went back with your DC pass? We are going tomorrow night with our passes from last week. Thanks.

Final tip: Save Believe for the end of the day. The last show is run after everything else is closed. It is SeaWorld's way of closing out the day. The special effects are also better at night.

The June 27th schedule shows the last Believe show at 6:45pm and that there's a "Shamu Rocks the World" show at 9:30 pm. What are your thoughts on this?

And does anyone know if you can do the Shamu rocks the World and the Mistify at 10pm (is this the fireworks)?

TIA
