Well, I'm trying to convince my dad to go to MGM since it has more rides than Sea World. But, he still isn't giving in. The problem is that Sea World is free and we have to pay for MGM, so I was wondeing does anyone have any ideas to persuade him. Also, would u pick MGM over Sea World even if u had free tickets.

Thanks a lot

Disney Studios has so much more to do than SW. SW is a snooze to me. It only has three attractions. Disney Studios has ToT, RNRC, Great Movie Ride, Lights, Motors Action, Star Tours, etc.

But is you have free tickets, go ahead and take advantage of them. SW is much smaller, but the Shamu show is pretty good if the whales want to perform. Sometimes they don't.

Free? No doubt, I would go to Sea World. It is a very nice park. When we are onsite and go to MGM, we can do it in 1/2 day with the night at EPCOT.

Depending on how old your dad is, he may not want to ride Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller coaster or Star tours.

Definately go to Sea World - although I enjoy both parks, it's nice to miss somewhere out - that way you can say "We'll have to go back, we didn't have time to fit MGM into our schedule!" :rotfl:

Sea World has lots of shows (the newest dolphin show sounds awesome) and a few thrill rides too, so should have something for all ages.

My parents and parents-in-law love Sea World because they find it more relaxing as it has more things to do sitting down! :goodvibes

My kids (5 and 7) love Sea World and anytime we are in Orlando they insist on going here. I think they like this in the middle of the week to kind of chill. They love the shows, the kids play area and feeding the seals. My parents also enjoy this park more than MGM.

For free, I would definately go to Sea World.

We just went to both SeaWorld and MGM. We enjoyed both. I find SeaWorld very relax and enjoy the shows. We rode Kracken and Journey to Atlantis and enjoyed both. My only comment about SeaWorld was it was miserably hot.

We also went to MGM and thought it was much more crowded and hectic than SeaWorld. It was also miserably hot.

Free tickets or not, I think I would choose SeaWorld over MGM, but that is just me.

The last time we went to Sea World we had free tickets. I wouldn't go back again even if I had free tickets. It's pretty much a one trick pony. Jmho :smooth:

I've enjoyed SW. We went for 2 days back in Feb. (Not full days). The last day we caught our flight home late afternoon. My DS (5) loves this park and he would not be happy if we didn't get to visit the dolphins and Shamu. I liked the different shows. For rides, yes MGM is better, but for an overall park I think SW is great.

My DH liked this park as he isn't into the rides very much.

Loved Beer school! :cool1:

We plan on returning in August when we go back to WDW.

Does anyone know where u can find the 2005 MIlitary 1 Day Disney Ticket 2 any of the parks. Also, my dad isn't that old...lol, so he's fine with most of the rides. I need a good combat comment to convince 2 pay for mGM instead of Sea World.

Sounds like the above poster is thinking of how many 'rides' there are... there are 3 'rides', but over 25 attractions, all of them worthwhile.

I have AP's to WDW and SW... I would take a day and hit SW if I were you. It's definitely worth it. Check out their website- it has lots of good info on it.
