We are planning a road trip down to San Diego next year, taking advantage of non-school age children before our oldest starts Kindergarten in 2009.

My husband wants to go in Jan/Feb but I worry about the weather.

I was thinking a week or 2 after Easter might be a better time to go.

The plan is to drive to San Diego from No. California on Saturday.

Sunday - Sea World
Monday - Legoland
Tues-Thurs - Disneyland/California Adventure
Friday - drive back home

I haven't been to Legoland yet, but I've been to SeaWorld and DLR several times in January and February.

Other than MLK weekend and President's Weekend/Valentine's Day, crowds are fairly low, and the weather was lovely for most of my visits - 60s and 70s during the day.

The hours are shorter than in the summer, but you'll spend a lot less time in lines.

A week or 2 after Easter is Spring Break and it's PACKED, and might even be hot by then.

There is a chance that you might get some rain in Jan/Feb, but it's not a huge chance, and just makes the crowds that much smaller!

Thanks for the reply.

We went to DLR the last week of January in 2007 and encountered a bit of rain but nothing that kept us from enjoying the park.

I'm thinking maybe the week after President's Day might be good since all the kids will be back to school.
