How close are the Sea World hotels? Close enough to walk to Sea World with an 80 y/o in an ECV?:rotfl: We are thinking about staying in one for one or two nights our next trip. If I understand right, you get the quick queu for free when you do? If you get free parking, can walk to the park, and get quick queue, it seems like it would be worth it to spend a night or two over there? Which are the Sea World hotels anyway?

There are several Sea World official hotels, not run by Sea World or operated by them, and not on their property. We went to Sea World/Discovery Cove/Aquatica this last summer, and had a great time. Stayed at the Fairfield Inn. We never drove to Sea World, and it was way too far to walk; we used their complimentary shuttle bus. It was largely fine, but there were limitations which were ridiculous. You can find my posts on here. We would have spent more time at Sea World if the shuttles we're run the right way. Other than the included Quick Queue, I'd advise to stay anywhere and drive to and from.

Loved their parks so much. Would love to go back. Quieter and less intense than a Disney Park. Beautiful. Loved all the shows at Sea World, learned a lot. Aquatica is ok but not nearly as good as Disneys watermarks. However, Discovery Cove is the best thing ever. A most wonderful day.

The first 7 hotels (marked with the whale tails) are "official" hotels of SeaWorld, and give you full onsite benefits. The other are "partner" hotels, and provide a more restricted list of perks.

The official hotels offer the following perks:

Our On-Site hotels, the Official Hotels of SeaWorld® Orlando, are all within walking distance of our parks. These properties offer their guests exclusive benefits including:

Complimentary transportation to SeaWorld, Aquatica, SeaWorld's WaterparkTM, Discovery Cove® and Universal Orlando*

Complimentary Quick Queue (front-of-the-line access) at SeaWorld*

Exclusive access to the “SeaWorld Rescue Tour” at SeaWorld on Early Entry dates and every Saturday all year long**

Free shuttle to Busch Gardens® Tampa on the Busch Gardens Shuttle Express (Busch Gardens Ticket and shuttle reservation required)

And in addition, guests at any of our Official Hotels and other Hotels Partners also can take advantage of Early Entry to SeaWorld and Aquatica, SeaWorld's WaterparkTM on select dates in peak season and discounts on dining and select merchandise purchases at each park.

They are all within "walking distance", but weather (heat, rain, etc.) or physical limitations (such as your Mom has) will definitely make walkability subjective. I personally wouldn't walk from many of them, except for the Renaissance (which is RIGHT across the street from SW).

All of the hotels are close.....a couple of minutes drive at most. Shuttle service is complimentary to all the parks but runs on much more restrictive schedule than their Disney counterparts. I would personally drive from any of the other hotels but the Renaissance (assuming you have a vehicle at your disposal) unless you plan on partaking in some of the alcoholic selections at DC ;) . Parking will be free at most of the hotels but not at the parks.

Definitely a wide difference in hotel options....everything from budget to villa accommodations. Some will have a free included breakfast, some don't. Some will have free internet, some don't. I love the fact that they have something for every type of traveller :) .

Aquatica is ok but not nearly as good as Disneys watermarks.

I think its a matter of preference. Aquatica is our favourite of all three (maybe tied with TL.....but definitely not below it). We didn't think much of Blizzard Beach at all, and have no desire to return for a subsequent visit. Aquatica's kids play structure kicks butt over either of the Disney waterparks. Roa's Rapids is the best water feature ANYWHERE, in my opinion. The lazy river is shorter but much nicer at Aquatica. Aquatica has a much "newer" feel. Cabana rentals are very affordable (1/3 the cost, or less, for a standard cabana vs. the Disney options).

Our family frequents SeaWorld often. We have platinum passes, but we live near the VA park. We get our use out of them. Normally we stay at the Springhill suites. They have really nice clean rooms, and had a nice breakfast also. It would be a long walk, but it is doable. They have a shuttles also.
