Are there any hotels in which you can walk to Sea World? If not, do most hotels provide a shuttle? How bad is parking if we decide to drive? THANKS!

The Renaissance by Marriot is opposite SeaWorld. Many hotels provide a shuttle but the times are stupid. If you are staying on International Drive you could get the I-Ride which is just over $1 one way per person and gets you there at your own time.

Hope this helps.

We stayed at the Renaissance on a package which included our tickets to SW. It is a beautiful hotel, the rooms are huge, and you can walk across the street to SW. We walked across SW parking lot on a Saturday morning and it was not crowded at opening time and this was in March over spring break.

What's the I-ride? We're trying to decide between the Renissance and Spring Hill Suites on International Drive directly behind Sea World. The price difference is $130 for 2 nights and I'm not sure if we should spend the extra for convenience or if we won't notice the difference...

Keep checking the Renaissance website for specials. We got our hotel room and SW tickets cheaper than what the chain hotels nearby were.

I have stayed at the Doubletree and you can walk to Sea World from there, they have a walkway to get in and out. Here is their website:
http://www.doubletreeorlandoidrive.com/

I was pretty impressed by the hotel, they have several dining options and a big breakfast buffet. They also have a Salute to the Heroes deal and you can stay for half off. It is good for military, police, and firefighters. They have at least 3 pools (that I saw) and mini golf. I plan on returning when we go to Sea World again.

We just got back a few weeks ago from Hilton Grand Vacations Sea World it is right across the street walking distance from Sea World. WE could see the fireworks at night. We stayed for 5 nights for 116.00 a night.

We just got back and use the I-Trolley during our whole trip. It was great and very inexpensive. Most International Drive area hotels have a stop for this trolley. Kids are free and adults ride for $1.25. Google it there's a website and a map with all the stops on the website!

I have stayed at the DoubleTree Resort twice (once when it was the International Plaza Resort before DT bought it) and have walked to SW via their back gate. This is my first choice when heading to SW (for location), but keep in mind that they have a parking fee per night. This hotel is often found on Hotwire...check betterbidding for help.

Also the hotels on Westwood Blvd (intersects with I-Drive twice, so check the hotel's address) are within walking distance.

I have stayed at both the Extended Stay Deluxe (not so nice..strange smell) and the Extended Stay America (which is located directly in front of the other and is nicer imo but nothing great) you can usually find both of these at very inexpensive prices online. Both of these and the Hawthorn Suites next door are a short walk from SW.

You would cross Westwood Blvd and take the (un-signed) road, which is actually a one-way exit from the SW employee parking lot, so not really a busy road. This unsigned "road" is located between a fenced storage lot for SW and the fenced in DT resort (in fact the DT resort SW gate deposites you onto this path). From there you cross Sea Harbour Blvd and follow the yellow painted walking path through the SW parking lot to the entrance.

Walking time from any of these to the main SW gate is less than 10 mins. I have often joked with SO that we have longer walks to our rooms at WDW from their bus stops!!

Thanks everyone. We went with Marriott's Spring Hill Suites. Has anyone stayed here before?

I've not stayed there, but that's where we were originally booked for the SW part of our upcoming December trip. We switched because the consensus seems to be that it is not a safe walk from the hotel to SW. Apparently it is quite long as well. The first person from the hotel I spoke with assured me it was a short and safe walk. Later on, another person from the hotel I spoke with said it is neither short nor particularly safe, especially with young children. We ended up switching our reservation to Renaissance Hotel, which is right across the street from SW.

The Hilton Garden Inn is just past the Renaissance and is an easy walk to Sea World. It's a your typical Hilton Garden Inn property (very nice three star property, nice little pool area, friendly helpful staff, etc.) I liked their tasty reasonable room service too. We did two different three night stays there over the past year. For the first stay last October, I booked a Sea World package on their website that was a pretty good deal and included two Sea World ticket and your second day at Sea World is free if you stop at the customer service desk on your way out. Sometimes too there are great deals on Expedia for this place. I booked a special rate on Expedia for our second stay. This is another property you might want to take a look at.

(Note: Driving your car and parking at Sea World is easy too, and if someone in your party gets a season pass -- parking is free)

The Renaissance hotel charges $15/day for guest parking. Spring Hill Suites provides complimentary parking. One option is to drive to SW and pay $12 /day to park. Another option is to walk to Aquatica and take the SW bus from Aquatica to SW or DC. I-Trolly runs every 20 minutes or so. Spring Hill Suites has a (limited) shuttle.

Thanks all. We will probably take the I-ride from Spring Hill Suites or call a cab. We're only going to Sea World 2 days before we switch to Universal and Royal Pacific Resort. The difference in price between Spring Hill and Renassiance is enough for us to take a cab each trip (if we choose) and get front door service. I ersonally would enjoy a walk, but I think at the end of a long day our 4 year old wouldn't handle the walk very well.

Can anyone tell me anything about the rooms and their experience at Spring Hill?

I wrote to the Springhills an they told me that the have shuttle services to seaworld complimentary this is what they answered me:

The hotel does provide complimentary shuttle services to Sea World. Shuttle times can be arranged with the concierge, and are as follows:

Leaving the hotel: 8:30 AM, 9:10 AM and 10;35 AM
Pick-up at Sea World: 4:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 9:15 PM. Note that pick-up times are subject to change later in the summer.

hope this helps

I have a room booked at Spring Hill Suites for one night with a 4 ticket package. $297 for the one night. Does that seem good? :confused3

It includes a plush toy for each child, ride again passes and of course the room and tickets.

We paid $336 for 2 adults and 1 child for 2 nights in a king suite including length of stay park tickets...

Robandkelly - where did you book through? And what time of year are you going? Thats a much better deal than what I got! :thumbsup2

We booked 7 nights for 2 adults plus 2 park lenght of stay tickets (SW and BG) for both adults for $668
