hey all! we are going on our trip next year and we are going to disney, sea world, and the san diego zoo. i have everything planned for the disney area, BUT....i cant find a good hotel by sea world for the life of me! and its been a long time since ive been on vacay in the area, and i do NOT remember where we would stay. so pleeeeez, give me some advice for where we should stay. anyone have any tips on where to stay that is close to sea world, at a good price? thanks!

We recently visited Sea World at the end of April. We stayed at The Dana at Sea World. The reason we stayed at this hotel was because we got a good rate on expedia. This hotels location was really nice. The hotel staff were extremely friendly. And the beds were really comfortable. I believe its a 10 minute walk to Sea World. But we chose to drive anyways. Keep an eye on expedia for deals. They come up frequently. I did notice that there were several others right by The Dana but for the life of me I do not remember what they were called. But I think most of them are resort hotels. Hope this helps.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay last summer when we went to Sea World. We got it through hotwire so we didn't know for sure which hotel we were getting but after researching, I was 99% sure we were getting the Hyatt. It was nice and we even got a free upgrade to a suite when I mentioned it was our anniversary. They also have a water taxi that takes you to SW. It wasn't free but I can't remember now how much it cost. It wasn't too much but it could add up if you need several tickets. It was just DH and I on this trip so paying for 2 tickets on the water taxi was about the same price as paying for parking at SW plus we got a fun little boat ride! The boat ride probably takes longer than driving but it was nice to not have to worry about parking the car. We also ate at the restaurant there for breakfast one day and it was very good but not a bargain. Both DH and I liked the hotel and would stay there again.

Hi, we just got back from a San Diego/ Disney trip. We stayed at the Best Western Island Palms and I am 100% satisfied. The hotel is in a beautiful location with the harbor on one side and a marina on the other. We got a suite and it was huge with a big bedroom, big bathroom, comfy living room, and full kitchen. All the rooms have a great view. In the evenings we had really nice sunset walks along the harbor and saw all kinds of cool boats, ships, paddlers, etc. There are shopping centers and restaurants close by. It wasn't more than 10 minutes to San Diego Zoo and Sea World. I found the hotel with the entertainment book and got a great rate for the suite. I also looked the hotel up on tripadvisor.com before I booked and it had really great reviews. The only thing is that this hotel would be best if you have a rental car. If you want to do Sea World and catch a shuttle then hotel circle would probably be better.
