Sea World for Halloween

We had scheduled to be at Sea World on Halloween day. When I pulled up their site I was excited to see that they were actually doing some nice stuff for Halloween and that it was included in park admission. Has anyone been on Halloween before? If anyone could share their experiences and what not to miss and maybe even some pics that would be great. TIA

We went 2 years a go. It was alot of fun, they had people dressed up and everyone even the adults got to trick or treat, they had activities like cookie decorating( at a cost but it looked well worth it) and shows,kids crazy type food. It was alot of fun even though we went without the kids

Thanks! Did you have to be dressed up to trick or treat? I know it seems silly, you should dress up to trick or treat but my kids like to practically swim with the sting rays while petting them so I don't really want to worry about costumes.

Nope. You dont need to be dressed up. Although alot of people are. It is a fun time for both kids and adults.

The best dress up for kids is face paint as it's too hot to really ware much else. We didn't dress up but themn again were were on an adult only trip

I like that idea. I was thinking of just getting some animal ears and tails so they could be dressed up but I like your idea better. Do you know if there is face painting available in the park?

Weekends in October are usually crowded because of the halloween activities. Weekdays though there are very few people.

I was thinking about going to MNSSHP, but then came across the activities at Seaworld. I have never been to either party, but if you were only going to do one which do you chose? Decisions, decisions. TIA

I don't think I could choose between the two. We are doing both, MNSSHP on the 27th and Sea World on the 31st. I guess I'm more excited about Sea World though since we've never done that. Who else is going on the 31st? See you there! If you see a huge herd of kids 5 girls and 3 boys that will be us.

I was thinking maybe surfer dudes wearing baggies and surf tees for guys(Moondoggie look from Gidget movies) . Maybe a cool summer sun dress like Annette in the Beach Blanket movies or shorts and T shirt with hair in pig tails to be Gidget for the girls . Gotta keep costumes on the light side or you roast in Florida-even at night.

Ya all know of a website that has like...fins or whale tales...headbands? Think that would be cute...and just a little plain dress to attach them to. I have tried searching and had no luck.

Where is all the halloween stuff set up as far as characters and candy spots? Is it all throughout the park or just in happy harbor?

It is along the path behind Bayside stadium. When you enter the park, make right at the duck pond. They have also had a few stations set up behind Shamu Stadium along the path to Happy Harbor.

We're going with some friends on the 30th. We did MNSSHP two years ago and while it was fun, I'm not sure we'll go again.

WE WENT TO SEA WORLD LAST YEAR FOR HALLOWEEN, WE WE STAYING AT UNIVERSAL BUT OUR GRANDKIDS WERE TO YOUNG FOR THERE HALLOWEEN WE THOUGHT, WE DID THE VIP TOUR AND THERE WERE CANDY STOPS EVERYWERE AND LOTS OF CHILDREN IN THERE COSTUMES. WE ARE FROM MISSOURI AND IT WAS OUR 1ST TIME, WE HAD A GREAT TIME ALL OF US FROM 8 TO 80.... GO HAVE FUN, YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IT. GOD BLESS
