Sea World (first timeer)

Hello all,

I am going to be bringing my little sister for her first ever trip to WDW, and I am planning on taking her to Sea World too. I was just wondering about something about sea world that I have never experienced.....

1)meal time beside shamu tank.... do you get to see the whales?? Is it worth the money... besides an all you can eat what else is there??

2)is the night time show much different then the earlier shows... it is worth staying late to see it???

3)I am seriously contemplating the dolphin nursery tour?? What is is like, would you do it again???

4) how about the other tours??? which is your favorite and why??

I want this to be a fun and exciting trip for her, but it is hard to plan....

We did the dinner with Shamu 12 years ago when we didn't have a child. It was AMAZING. Granted, it WAS 12 years ago, so a lot may have changed... but they had the dining experience set up with 5 or six rows of tables. The tables were about 5 ft. away from Shamu's tank... and you're at the back training area.. so he's swimming around, watching you the whole time. We had a trainer at the end of each row of tables, to answer any questions. We learned that Shamu can gain/lose 50lbs. in a day, they showed us how they taught him to get on the scale. At the end of the buffet we were able to get INCREDIBLE, up close (but not soaking wet) pictures, while the kids interacted with Shamu (they gave him the training commands and he responded). We're returning this year with our 9yr. old son, and this was one of the first things I booked. If it's anything like it was 12 yrs. ago... I don't think you'll be disappointed.
