Interested in the answer to this too. We are wondering if it's worth it in May.

To Wadecool: It depends.... are you going to spend all day at Seaworld? From park opening to park closing? If you are then get it. It will be worth it IMO on such a long day.

The above link is for the Sea World in Orlando....anyone seen the San Diego dining page? I can't find it on their site anymore. We're going this weekend and I have been trying to figure out which restaurants are included. Thanks!

Hi Connie
I think all sit down restaurants are valid. It will tell you the exceptions on the card. Example last year you couldn't get the large order of ribs at one place. I think there were only a couple of meals you couldn't get.
We had the turkey sandwiches at the hospitality center a couple of times. They were huge and so fresh. My son likes to try different places so I think we covered most of them. The Shipwreck is our favorite.

Enjoy.

My family which included 3 adults and 3 kids did not get our money's value out of the Dinning plan at all! There are a few resturants you can use your wristband at. They are all in the same location and you CAN NOT use your wristebands on SNACKS!!!! So, if you are at the dolphin area and want a bottle water you have to PAY for it in addition to the price of the wristeband. In my opion it is a big RIP OFF!!!! If we were to go to Sea World again we would just pay for our food.

Another warning....ALL except one of the restaurants CLOSES at 5pm (or maybe it was 5:30)...but to me that's the middle of dinner time! We went to eat and found one place had closed literally moments before (you could still see people inside in line). So we head off to another thinking must just be that one place....find the others shuttered up too....and mind you the restaurants are pretty spread out so we're doing these long walks just to find them closed even though we're heading to the place the closed restaurant tells us to go. So I finally had just had it....went and complained to Customer Service that no where did it say all but one place was closed at dinner time. And that had it said that we'd at least have known not to eat at that one restaurant for lunch...we didn't really want the same thing for dinner, and besides it was closing in half an hour too! They tried telling me that the hours of operation were listed on the schedule, but then gee, couldn't find it on the schedule. Claimed that the parks prints these each day and they're "always" listed. Up shot was that we ended up getting a refund of our entire dining plan because we weren't notified. I would have been happy with a half refund since we did use it to lunch and to get drinks mid afternoon, but she offered full and I took it.

We also realized early on that we'd have had to really work it to make the money back....the prices are typical amusement park high, but they really are pretty decent sized so next time the three of us will share two meals for lunch and probably just do snacks late afternoon to tide us over. THe park closes relatively early (maybe longer in summer of course) so we'll just hit something on the drive back to the hotel for dinner. It was also a little bummer to have to choose based on what's included rather than being able to choose whatever smelled good nearby, lol.

It did appear that buying the refillable mug might be worth it, especially if you can share it with others in your family (I know our family has no problem with this, but some families simply won't share drinks, to each his own, lol). I think it was under $10 and then all refills are $1....and you can bring it back to the park on your next visits. We probably won't do that simply because we don't drink soda much and we try to not carry stuff (we use fanny packs for tickets, money and cell phone) so having to lug it around would be a pain for us. Now...if you have a stroller, or a backpack that could fit it, that'd be ideal.

The food was decent, but nothing to get overly excited about. Better than most of the counter service at Disneyland, sad to say.

We used the all day dining deal at Sea World over Thanksgiving last year and found it super convienient. Maybe we just started with a better plan.

We had two sit down meals a day including the bar b q place, had drinks all day and stopped in several times to just get watermelon or strawberries. It was great it was paid for and I did not have to keep dishing out money for the kids.

The dining places you can use stay open until 30 min before the parks close and that is exactly how it worked. We watched the night time shamu show and walked by and got a snack and a drink on our way out of the park.

Even at Thanksgiving it was fairly warm and I don't know how many bottles of water the kids went thru. We got our meal and then went back thru the line for an extra bottle of water. Even at Thanksgiving the lines were mostly short. We were the only people eating at the bar b q place one day and they really fixed us all a nice sampler plate.

I not only think we got our moneys worth, I think we got more than our moneys worth. They also refilled our cups over at the shamu stadium. All you had to do was ask where a refill place was.

My family are all big drinksers so that may have made a difference.

I went labor day weekend and restaurants close 30 minutes before the park close.

Yes I think it was totally worth it. I ate three meals at Sea World because one family thought the free breakfast at the hotel was just for them and at all the food up. LOL

It kept all 3 kids and mom happy with something drink all day. Did I mention we starve when go to park because we had no breakfast.
