Hi, we're on our first visit this Christmas / new year and planning on seaworld on Jan 1st bush Jan 5th. Is it worth paying for their fastass do you think?

Check your typo above :lmao:

Sea World has only a few "rides": Manta, Kraken, Journey to Atlantis, and Wild Artic. Given that it will probably be too cold to ride JtA repeatedly and imho Wild Artic is not worth a repeat ride, it depends on how many times you want to ride Manta and Kraken - both good (we loved Manta). If you go at rope drop on January 1st (remember many will be late because they partied late the night before) you might be able to get all the rides you want in early in the morning, then just enjoy the shows (the fastpass does not help you with shows) and exhibits for the rest of the day. However, if you are planning to arrive late and want to ride the headliners, the fastpass might be totally worth it. I would not want to try to come in at 11 am and ride the rides at Sea World without it on January 1. So if you plan to get there at RD and only ride each ride once - I think you'll be good without it.

Now on the otherhand, Busch Gardens is chock full of rides and that could make the front of the line access totally worth it. However, on January 5th you might not need it - the Christmas Crowds should be gone.

I would be tempted at Busch to budget for it, but wait until I got there before buying it.

If you plan to get it at Sea World (especially if you might arrive later), go ahead and order it now because they sell only a limited number of them. Have fun - I hope you have the parks practically to yourselves!:wizard:

I agree about Sea World,if you're going Jan 1st there will be long lines for the coasters but there really aren't that many more rides in the park and since one is a water ride and it could be cold I probably wouldn't spend the extra $.What I would do is get there early and ride Manta and Kraken before the crowds move in and since many people will have been out late I wouldn't expect heavy crowds until at least noon.As far as Busch Gardens I don't think you would need to spend the extra money if you're going on a Wednesday after school already started after the Holiday break, that's one of the things I love about Busch Gardens,it's an hour away from Orlando so unless it's a weekend or school is out,or it's spring break there isn't that many tourists coming from Orlando to make the crowds too bad,I wouldn't expect to see too many coasters with lines longer than 15-20 minutes.

Check your typo above :lmao:

Serves me right for doing a post from the iPhone!

Anyway thanks for the replies, can't see us being in Seaworld early for the same reasons as everybody else :rotfl: So will probably get the fastpass for there and see what happens in Busch. Hopefully they'll either not be needed or still available.

January 1st is a very busy day. I would def recommend the quick queue (fastpass)

Here is some info on quick queue....

Just so you know.. for the fast pass they reserve a row of seats about 3 rows into the coaster for the fast pass people.. you cannot pick where you sit like if you want to sit in the front or back.. at least thats the way it was when i was there dec 10th. the fast pass row was closed to people in line.. only fast pass could ride that row. The MANTA is awesome.. The Krachen is awesome too!! The Manta isn't far from the entrance and you could probably hit it right away with little wait.. also later in the night after dark the coaster lines die down most likely.. I rode the manta 3x in a row right before closing but the park crowd was light that day
