Sea World and the Holidays

We are going to Disney World for 10 days at the end of Nov/first of Dec and we are planning to spend a day at Sea World.

We will be there the day after Thanksgiving and was wondering what does Sea World do for the holidays.


Has anyone heard anything about this years plans?

Has anyone been in the past? Any help would be great since we are only going to be at Sea World for one day.

The park will be opened until 11:00pm on the day after Thanksgiving, so you will be there the first day of Seaworlds holiday celebration! Seaworld puts on Christmas themed night shows which are completely different from the day shows. You will have "Shamu Christmas Miracles" "Clyde and Seamore countdown to Christmas" and an Ice Skating show "Seaworld on Ice" followed by the fireworks show "Holiday Reflections" The only Christmas themed day show will be "Elmos Holiday celebration." A sesame street themed show for young kids.

The park will be covered with holiday decor with a ton of lights especially in the waterfront area. There will be costumed characters in christmas themed outfits and it will "snow" in the waterfront area at different times throughout the night.

Another cool thing is they redo one of their rides to fit the christmas theme. The ride "Wild Arctic" which is a motion simulator ride that simulates your trip to the arctic in a helicopter, is redone and becomes "The Polar express experience" This is another motion simulator ride that simulates scenes from the popular movie, "Polar Express" following the ride, there is a photo op with Santa!

Wow!! It sounds wonderful...I am excited to see it. Christmas is my MOST favorite time of the year so this trip will be the highlight of my year.

We will be there the day after Thanksgiving too!!! We plan on doing the all day dining. I can't wait!!! It might be a busy day....
