Sea World and food

I am getting an annual pass to SeaWorld soon and have a 2 year old son. Do they really not let you bring in food to the park? The website says not and so do the signs outside the entrance. Do they check for food in bags?
I think it highly impractical to not be allowed to take in snacks for a toddler.

Anyone experience this recently??

Most of the time - and I can't vouch for Sea World cause I haven't been there in a REALLY long time - but most places most of the time, those regulations mean FOOD. As in sandwiches, coolers, "adult" food, as it were.

I have found that snacks in a diaper bag usually pass inspection just fine. Just don't go overboard. Take a sandwich baggie full of goldfish crackers, a sandwich baggie full of dry cereal, and a few juice boxes, or whatever you child eats, but keep it small and simple.

Sea World's food is VERY expensive, so many people used to pack enough food for lunches and dinners for their whole families. That is what they are cracking down on.

Have fun, I LOVE Sea World!

I've never had a problem. I often have several cereal bars, chips, crackers, you name it.
I think I couldn't bring in a glass of pop one time, but think it was because straws aren't allowed.
I've never had a problem at Legoland bringing in snacks either.

With the annual pass you get a small discount on food too.

We took snacks and water in and they inspected the bag so they knew it was there and it was fine.

Thanks for the replies. Did any of you folks happen to take a cooler in? I have a very small( no longer than a ruler and as wide as half a ruler), soft-sided one that I take to Legoland and Disneyland. Sometimes they don't even see it or inspect it!

Just wondering...

All of the various amusment parks allow baby food and bottles to be brought in. They do not allow most any other food and drinks.

Sea World has lockers and picnic tables right outside the gates that can be used.

They do check but minimal stuff is fine just not a whole picnic. I have allergies so I have to bring stuff and they were fine with the few little baggies I had in my bag. FWIW, even though the food is expensive there it was quite good. We had the sandwiches with the hand carved turkey and roast beef. Also the cinnamon kettle corn is DIVINE.

Hey Guys! I just got back from Sea World and I took that very small cooler I mentioned. I just shoved it to the bottom of my stroller and put our sweaters over it. They lightly checked my purse at security, but that was it! There were also no signs about not bringing food in. It was easy to do. I also had visible drinks out and they didn't say anything.

Thanks for info though!
