Has anyone done it? Is it worth it? Did you bring a camera?

Discuss Lol :)

We were there in October, my 16 year old daughter decided to do it, it was totally worth it! She had an amazing time. She brought a underwater camera with and was able to take some very cool pictures during it. She even handed it to her guide/ instructor and he took some with her in them too!

We did is last year and LOVED it, it was very cool and I also had my underwater camera. Took some amazing video and pictures and our guide would grab it often and take pictures of us, or of things she thought we needed to have :)

When you get to the part where they feed the fish, watch those fingers :) Ouch

Awesome! I booked it for my and my dd (8) and I'm super excited - I was surprised she said she wanted to do it because she's not always so brave when it comes to trying new things but she wants to do Sea Venture and parasailing on CC so she's getting braver that's for sure!

I bought an underwater camera so I'll be sure to take photos.

Kids have to be 10 to be able to do the Sea Venture, my DD was 9 last year and was unable to participate. They can swim with the dolphins at 6. It is way way to much weight for a little kid. Those helmets might weight as much as her.

Sorry to have to have told you that, they should have said something when you booked it if you called it in.

Oops that was a typo! (Or wishful thinking lol) my dd is 10! She'll be 11 a week after we go.

For those who used underwater cameras, what kind do you have? We are thinking of getting a point-and-shoot but don't want to spend a ton of $$ but want one that can take a decent picture. Thx.

I just bought one at target - $129 I think? I'll look it up when I get home and let you know

Ok it's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS20. I can't find the receipt but I'm sure it was around $129 or close to it. It water proof and sand proof. I took it to the pool and it took great pictures. I haven't printed any yet but I did post them online and they were nice and sharp. Only thing I don't really like is its orange.

Great! Thanks for the info.

We have the Panasonic Lumix TS4

It can go down 40ft and does a great job, I use it at our local waterpark and then brought it last year to DC and it took great pictures/video when on the Sea Venture

It is a little more pricey at $279 though

I saw this one at Costco about 2 hours after I bought the other one and considered returning it and getting this one - especially love the color! In the end I decided I already have a camera I love so the underwater one wasn't to be the main camera. I don't think you could go wrong with either.
