Sea & See on St Marten

My DW went on this with our DS while I was traipsing around the island. She says...

Original testimonial from Dave's DW

This was way cool... especially with small kids. The windows were huge... the viewing was great. This was so much better than the Atlantis submarine at St Thomas where you're looking through portholes. There was a diver with food right outside the window which attracted tons of aquatic life right to the windows!!!

Go look in this thread for a pic of the inside of the boats used - Click here!

It was a very cool excursion, they take you over in tour type buses so you see a little of the island, get some time to shop the French part of the island and go out in the boats to a nearby reef, which was wonderful! And Dave's as wife said, they do send a diver out with bait to atttract the fish to the boats.

Thanks, Mark, for the link to the photo of the boat.

Glad to hear everyone's comments on Sea & See. We made reservations for that tour for our 7-day Eastern on 9/7, thinking it sounded kind of neat, so we're glad people have good things to say. It's so nice to have the DIS board so you can check things out in advance.

We're also doing the snorkel tour on St. John. Not the deluxe tour, just the regular one. The only difference I could see between the deluxe and the regular is you get fruit punch on the deluxe, and on the regular, you go to the island by boat and bus so you get to see more.

Don't mean to change the subject, but has anyone snorkeled on St. John, and what did you think of it?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Has anyone done the semi-sub on its own?, without doing the full DCL excursion?. Is it possible?

We really don't want to do the shopping part w/ds3 and would rather have that time for the beach instead. TIA

thanks again Dave
so it's run by the same group that runs the sub in St Thomas? Atlantis?
I have their flyer and didnt realize that they are the same. They have different listings on the back of the flyer.

Just an FYI -

If the water is too rough in St. Maarten - they will cancel the Sea part of the tour and only charge you $19 for the See part.

We didn't get to do the Sea part :(
