Sea raycers or water mice?

Where can we rent water mice? And what's the difference between sea raycers and water mice?

I know someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they're the same thing.

We always rent from the Contemporary marina. They seem to be the fastest for some reason. There are other locations, but because I'm not sure of them, I hate to say. One (if not two) other resorts along the Seven Seas Lagoon has them also. And one of the Port Orleans resorts have them too.

I think the water mice have been replaced by the sea raycers, but they are essentially the same thing.

They can aslo be rented from the Yacht Club marina.

We've rented them at the CBR several times.

all the resorts on the water have them, CR is the most central. CBR you are limited on speed as it is a small lake.

Do they hold two people for instance say an adult and a 8-10 year old? I'd like to take one of my kids on one with me.

I've heard you aren't allowed to go into the lake water (bacteria or whatnot). What happens if you accidentally fall off? And what do you do on those things anyway -- just race around the lake for a while?

We'll be staying at the CR and might want to do this but I'm afraid of the bacteria-laden water...

We rented from the GF last Aug and I think WL has them as well. We used the coupon from the package (I think it was get 30 min free when you rent for 60 min ?) . Basically, they let us rent 2 for 45 min for the 60 min price!

Each adult took a DS, so we were all out on the water at the same time. It was pretty busy though! Lots of other sea raycers, the ferries and smaller boats too!

Yes, they are big enough for an adult and one child.
