Sea Raycer question

My DH and I will be at WDW from Dec 3rd to the 12th. We will be staying at CSR. We are getting a coupon of some sort, from AAA and so we though we might "give it a go".

Do they have to be reserved or is it just first come first served? Where in the World are they available and if they can be reserved is that something a concierge (assuming CSR has one) can do for us?

Sorry for all the questions but this is our first time going so we want to be a prepared as possible.

Searaycers are first come-first serve. It shouldn't be too much of a wait. The best places to get them are in the Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon resorts. This includes Ft. Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian. You can drive in front of the Magic Kingdom and all around Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon. You just have to go to the marina at each of the resorts. Basically, just walk towards the water. I would suggest getting two of them....one for each of you. The speed varies based on the weight in the boat and you will have more fun by yourself.

Doesn't CSR have them? We are staying there for our first time in Nov & I was looking forward to riding them there. Of course, we can always go elsewhere to ride them, but I thought this was another fun way to enjoy the resort.

My husband and I went last August and had the coupon for the Searacers. Definetly have one for each. We rented at Grand Floridian. We had a rented car for the week and just drove there. We like doing it there because you can see so many of the other resorts. And it was first come first serve. Enjoy!

My DH and I are thinking of renting these on our trip (less than two weeks out, yay!)... anyone know if you have to return it to the same marina you pick up from? If we rent at one, it might be fun to return it to a different one and check out a different resort - if that's allowed...

You have to return to the same marina. The reason for this is that they keep your license on file while you are out in the boats and you pay when you return. There is no way that you can stop at a different marina. Sorry.

No, a sea raycer only seats 2. If I am not mistaken the coupon is for a free 30 minutes after paying for 60 minutes. 90 minutes with a 3 year old my be a little long out in the direct sun. When we go at the end of August, I plan to pack a lunch and rent a pontoon boat.

Do you have to buy a AAA package to get the coupon or can you just go to the office and get one?
