Can anyone tell me how much it is to rent these, for how long you can rent them, and if you are overweight, will there be a problem using these? TIA!

No reply in 15 mins, yea these boards are getting old.

We planned on trying one from POR, but just never got 'round to it. I do not know the exact rate, but I believe they are by the hour. We had a coupon to get 90 mins for the price of 60.

They are small, smaller than I expected. Everyone has a different definition of overweight so hard to say. If I had to guess form just looking at them - I'd say the seat was about as wide as BTMRR. But it looked to have much shorter leg room. I'd search around for some photos to help make your mind up.

From what I read on these boards the best place to rent these is at the Poly or the Grand Floridian they move the fastest. As for size I can't help you as I have never ridden them. :cool1:

Also, where are the locations for these?

Basically any resort that is located near water.

I would rent one from one of the MK resorts... GF, Poly, CR, WL, or FW. You have a lot more room with fewer speed restrictions.

I you rent from one of the other resorts you have more restrictions.

For example...

Any of the resorts along the Sassagoula River such as POR, POFQ you have speed restrictions to keep the wake down.

CBR you only have a smll lake to putter around in.

Note: the boats can accomodate approx. 300lbs.

Dh rented one from the contemporary with our son last trip. I believe it was 20 for 30 minutes (we had a discount with out AP)

There is a weight limit. I can't remember what it was but my very tall/big DH and I combined would be over the weight limit so I kind of discourage him from riding them! I don't want to ride alone ... or have him ride without me. Aren't I just mean??? Sorry that was off topic ... I don't remember the costs.

This is an older thread but I have some things to add...as well as a question.

30 minutes = $24
The weight limit is 300 lbs., I believe. So for 2 people, you may be over the limit, but they are just as fun or more fun for both people to ride alone :) :)

Now my question, what time do they stop renting these boats? DBf & I were thinking of renting them at about 6:30 pm. Thanks!

I thought the Sea Raycers were fun to ride alone! I would also recommend renting from one of the MK area resorts, as I think this gives you the most free space. Enjoy!
