Anyone's kids have Sea Monkeys? We need to add more water to the little tank (due to evaporation). The kit came with water conditioner for the first time, but what do use to just add a bit - distilled, spring, or filtered?

I found my sea monkeys direction pamphlet and it says

"Evaporation in the tank is natural and it causes the water in the tank to get lower and lower. Refill with bottled drinking water, which is at the same temperature at the tank water"

How long have you had your sea monkeys??

I had Sea Monkeys when I was a kid and just hatched some last week for my partner's nephews. When topping off the tank, I always used the same water source used to originally fill the tank.

Wow! It's been 40 years since I've heard of sea monkeys.

Never had any, but used to look at the ads in comic books.

Is there really little king who wears a crown?

Filtered should also be fine. Basically you just want any water source that does not contain chlorine. Bottled drinking water or filtered water will fit the bill nicely.

We had some here at the office for about a year! We just refilled with room temp bottled water. Just when we thought they were all dead, they'd come back to life. Oh, and they ... enjoyed each other's company as well. Took Google to figure that they weren't stuck together by accident. :thumbsup2

About a month.

No, they're just brine shrimp, but DS finds them cool anyway. - He thought it was great when one got big enough that you could actually see it's eyes.

Too funny! We haven't seen that yet.

Thanks, everyone, for the replies. I'll go with the bottled water.
