Just a heads up westcoasters, Alaska airlines (and some others too, as I think they are matching) has fares for assorted dates in October for $220 return. We weren't even planning to go, but I noticed this and now I think I maybe we should, even though we are going to DLR in May.

Hope this helps someone:)

Wow! Where were those fares for August

Going again in Jan so I better start watching!!

Thank you!

We weren't planning on going but was totally able to score $220/person.

Now we are going the first week of October!
Totally impulsive buy today!

SO glad this helped you! I was hoping to combine our next trip with a cruise, (DH thinks it weird to go just for Disney now that DS grown and not coming) but the dates are too early for the cruise lines we were hoping to go on, so I passed. I'm keeping my eyes open for late October though:).

Started looking for what I think my January dates will be and United has $ 312 fares! Alaska non stop $344.

Hmm, Florida in January sounds nice! The drive to SEA makes me nervous at that time of year though.

Hipmunk is showing a $242 RT for SEA-MCO in August (Aug 17 to Aug 31) but I couldn't actually get it to display on Orbitz or by searching the airlines directly. Weird.

It was a combo of Southwest and Airtran. I'm not sure how I feel about these "two airlines for one leg" trips anyway.

I can't post images yet (4 more posts!), but the hipmunk result is pictured here: i.imgur.com/pqhWsuq.png

I am getting something similar on ITA On The Fly but I can't actually find it online! I have actually been trying to find it as we speak right now. I'm pulling my hair out!

Been doing that drive for years, so far I've missed any snow storms! But even with snow, it's I-5 all the way so shouldn't be bad. Only one scary time going thru Cloverdale to the border, there's a hill, only 1 inch of snow on the road, but some cars ahead of me (prob didn't have good tires) were sliding all over. I had no problem going up with my front wheel drive sedan.

Just booked our January flights $318 RT. United going down, with 1 hr layover in Houston, then coming home direct flight on AA operated by Alaska Air.

I was surprised I was able to book all flights on AA site. Even the United. Found it on Kayak. :cheer2:

I did a little oops, never did that before, but I clicked on the wrong Alaska return flight. I wanted the 6:25pm flight, but clicked on the 8:00am one.

Yikes. I noticed my mistake after a hour, and immediately phoned AA. They were able to change it for me, and flight was $19 cheaper :p so they are issuing me a travel voucher that I can use for baggage fee, or another flight. They waived the change fee. :thumbsup2

I must have missed the sale because all I see is $220 each way :( Which is actually still pretty good!
