Sea Horse Snorkle on CC

For those who have done the sea horse snorkle on Castaway. Do you recommend it? This is our first cruise with DS 7, 10 and 12. They haven't snorkled before. I am wondering if the time would be better spent on Castaway Cay. DH thought he would enjoy the snorkling more farther off shore.

We booked this excursion on our cruise in November. Our kids were 8 and 10 at the time. Due to an overly breezy day we were unable to snorkle in the usual area the excursion goes. The excursion operator took us elsewhere, to supposedly calmer waters. My husband and I felt the excursion should've been cancelled. The waters were way too rough to enjoy. In fact, we spent our entire time in the water getting our kids (both good swimmers) back to the boat. The waves kept pushing us away and now my daughter says she never wants to snorkle again. We never even had a chance to truly snorkle. We're going to do the snorkle trail at CC next time around and hopefully change my daughter's mind about snorkling.
