Hello brides and brides to be!

I'm getting married in September at SBP and was curious about the walk from the lobby to the ceremony location. My dad had back surgery a few years ago and can't walk too long before he starts hurting and my fiance's mother also can't walk for long distances before she starts to get tired (she's in her 70's). Could they possibly take a golf cart down there or something?

also another question.. do the intimate weddings get chairs for the guests to sit on and any other decorations in the space? I would *HOPE* there are places for the guests to sit! And are there going to be tables for us to sit at for the cake cutting ceremony or does everyone have to just stand or sit in their chairs and eat the cake?

Also, for the first dance as husband and wife, how do they play the music? or is it just done with the violin player that we have? I thought I read in our paperwork that we can choose from different songs, so I imagine they have to have some sort of radio or speakers set up out there right?

Juliana is my WC but I haven't had a chance to talk with her on the phone yet and I have so many questions! thanks everyone.. I'm so excited!

thanks and have a beautiful day everyone!! :grouphug:

We just got married at SBP in December. It is quite a hike from the lobby to the ceremony site. My grandmother is 87 and we had to ask the front desk for a wheelchair. My mother also just had knee replacement surgery so we had asked for a golf cart and they said they couldn't do it. They made it ok. They just took their time.

All ceremonies, custom or intimate, get chairs for the guests to sit on. :thumbsup2

If all you requested for music is a violin player, that's all you get. I know the intimates have a lot less options than the custom. We went to Kimnkel's wedding onlyl 3 days after ours. They had a violin and a flute and they're first dance was beautiful.

Definitely give your EM a call and double check all this. But I'm pretty sure about most of it. They might be able to help you out with the walking part though. Good luck and happy planning!! :)

I'll try and help as much as I can..

About the walk... Its LONG. Probobly the longest walk from any intimate wedding venue (so said Rev Jack)... I would suggest inquiring about a golf cart through juliana... get your info before you go.
Yes there are chairs for the ceremony and for cake cutting. Dont fear.

As for dancing-- you have a violin player who has sheet music memorized on disney songs, and possibly some others. Whatever you choose for your music, it is played through a violin... no radio.

hope this helps!

thanks so much !! I will definitely inquire about the golf cart for our two family members ..... and thanks for the info on the music.. I"m thinking maybe of changing to a guitar player instead of the violin because I love the sound of acoustic guitar and it's really more my DF and my style.

thanks again everyone! I love this board... it's so helpful and full of great info!
