Does anyone know off the top of their head what the cost of Sea Bands are in US? I saw some at Walmart here in Toronto, and they were $13.33 Cdn which would be about $9.00 US...is this about what you can get them for in US? I plan to get them for me as I'm prone to motion sickness, but has anyone used them with their children...do they work? I have no idea how my children will do if there are rough seas, but want to be prepared just in case. Any thoughts on "drugs/gravol" vs sea-bands? Thanks, Jo

Yes, that's about the right price. I don't recall exactly what I paid for them, but it was someplace between $8-10 US.

They definitely work, and have no side effects.

I got my SeaBands at WalGreen's. They were around $8 US. I don't know about children; but they definitely work for me! Also saw them on the Magic; they were different colors and I think about $11 US.

Hope this helps.

I used Bonine and it was great....I have tried the sea bands in the past and they have never worked...I gave them to my mom to use and they didn't work for her either so it really is a hit and miss with those but Bonine was great!

i just bought them for my cruise next week i pain 7.99 at stop in shop grocery store in front of their pharmacy dept.

I use both bonine and sea bands - never hurts to be double prepared for the worst! I even wear them during the calm seas!

I bought the sea bands at CVS pharmacy around $9. I wore them on first cruise first couple of days. I didn't get sick but am not prone to get sick anyway. Third day DD felt queasy so I put them on her. She got better but, again, not sure it was the bands.

The only time I have really felt movement was last year when the Magic had to stop near Cuba to pick up some refugees whose boat was sinking. It was right at dinner time and trying to say still in the water, the boat was rocking. I had to take a few deep breaths!

Hey, so you were on that famous cruise with the refugees - wow! Bet that was an experience. I am sure Michael would have started yelling that pirates were boarding! He's one of Captain Hook's pals!
