SDMT FP availability?

Trying to plan out a strategy for next week when my FP window opens. I know Slinky Dog Dash, FEA, and FOP need to be top priorities for my booking (Hoping to do SDD for 60+7, FEA 60+2, FOP 60+6 evening hour). I'm concerned because I'll be attempting to secure FP for 7 people. With all of these new attractions, I feel like I'm not seeing as much about SDMT. When we went 3 years ago, it was a very difficult FP to obtain. Is this still the case? We will be in WDW for 9 night, with 8 park days. Any chance I'd be able to get a SDMT for day 60 for 7 people? Or would it be more likely I'll have to hold off until 60+4? I don't know if it's super unlikely for day 60 so it would be a waste to even try.

Also, what are my chance for FEA on 60+2? Evening hour is doable for us as we plan to go to the park early, then return to resort to swim, then back to Epcot for dinner and more exploring....

Thanks!!!

For my mid-June trip I could not get 7DMT for day 60 or 60+1. I ended up putting it on our last day so I could get the time I wanted and got a PPO ADR for BOG for the first day I wanted, we will walk on!

That was before any TS was open for FP so it may be easier now.

I had no trouble getting FEA or Mine Train on my 60 days (booked FEA on 60 days, Mine train on 60+2). Got a 2pm FOP booking that right away at 7am (60+5) nd had to work to get a SDD, so my advice is to get those first.

For my late July trip, I could get both. However, SDMT at 60+1 was very limited. FEA at 60+3 was wiiiiiide open. I did have some luck modifying my SDMT to move it up a little bit but its still after noon

I just did FastPasses for 4 people this morning. These are what I tried:

SDD 60+1: Earliest available was 5:10pm, but there are still evening ones left now (at 11:37am ET)
SDD 60+6: Lots of time. I selected 10:00am
7DMT 60+2: I wanted it around noon and was able to get 12:25pm. There are still times left in afternoon and evening.
FOP: 60+3: I wanted morning, but I was able to get 2:10 pm. I was also working around an ADR and tour, so there may have been something earlier that I couldn't take. There are still times starting at 4:10pm
FOP 60+8: Times were pretty wide open. I needed 11:30 or later and selected 11:50am
FEA 60+7: Practically any time that I wanted

Is the fact I'm trying to get FP for a party of 7 going to be extra difficult?

I was doing a party of 8. Sometimes I split us up into smaller parties and had more success finding overlapping times but honestly didn't have to do it very often. Didnt have to at all for FEA but did split us up for SDMT and our times were about 10 minutes apart

I have a party of 6, and for our mid-June trip, I was unable to get SDMT for 60+1 or 60+2, but I was able to get it for 60+4, with the earliest time being 12:20. Not ideal for us, as who knows if my littles will make it until 12:20 on an 8 AM opening day in June, but we'll see. This was also before Toy Story Land opens (our trip ends on June 24th) so like others have said, perhaps the Toy Story Land rides will take some heat off of SDMT.

I will say that since Mine Train opened, this was the only trip I haven't been able to get it on day one or two. I have been to Disney every year since the opening of Mine Train and have had zero problems securing that ride at 60 days out until now. It's probably a combination of the 60 day window being extended to more guests, and the fact that more people know about and understand how to use FPP. On the other hand, it was much easier to get a Frozen Ever After FP, so that's nice.

We were able to get Mine Train for our party of 12 at 60 + 4 for around noon

I booked my FP yesterday, party of 5. Logged on at 7am, the system was sluggish and several times we dealt with the Olaf screen.

We booked our SDD first on 60+10 at 8:40am (couldn't get earlier but didn't try hard), 60+12 was wide open

Next we did FOP on 60+5 at 12:15. I could have picked an earlier time.
FOP 60+7 at 11:40am, earlier was available
FOP 60+13 was wide open

Next TSM 60+6 at 8:05am

Then we did the rest of DHS days because I wanted TOT & RNRC and I wanted the times back to back with our SDD & TSM.

I did the rest of my 10 day trip (I didn't check FEA or SDMT). The Disney system crashed for a few hours. I spoke with a tech support person to figure out how to book FP for my two Disney After Hours tickets. Around 2pm, I was able to schedule SDMT on day 60 in the evening and day 60+8 in the evening. Plenty of times after 12pm were available on both days.

If you are unsuccessful with either SDMT, you might want to consider EMM if it is available during your trip. For FEA, you could look for the Frozen Ever After dessert party which includes an FEA ride after the fireworks.

Never give up, folks change plans all the time. 3 of us got it day of in the park EASTER WEEK.
