If you don't have your AP vouchers connected to you, then, fire away.
How do I find out if my vouchers are linked to anything? All I have is an email with a number from AAA south. For my current in use AP, I had to put that number into my disney experience to link them. So if I want to use them to prebook more FP+, I would need to purchase 3 magic bands and link them how? Different names? (will that screw me up in the future?) or do I need to create a totally new MDE with a different email for these?Don't forget that the vouchers can't be used to access the FP+. You'll need Magic Bands or cards that are linked to the same profiles that you link the vouchers to.

The vouchers would only be linked to an MDE if you had linked them yourself. Set up a phantom profile (use a fake name - and always make all phantoms under age 18) and attempt to link a voucher to it. If you get an error message saying that the voucher is already linked to someone else, then you did already link them in the past.
Keep everything on the same MDE. The future will not be a problem as vouchers are completely re-assignable. You'll just switch them over to the real people when your current passes expire.
Once the vouchers are linked to the phantoms, you'll be able to make FP+ in advance for those phantoms. If you have space to put the phantoms on a room reservation, it won't cost anything because they're under 18. If you can do that, you'll have a 60 day window for the phantoms' FP+. More importantly, you'll get Magic Bands for the Phantoms. This is important because the vouchers themselves don't have the RFID chip. You can't tap the vouchers at a FP+ ride entrance. You need something with a chip. That generally means a Magic Band. A Magic Band that's linked to the same profile that the voucher is linked to. (Vouchers can be reassigned, but Magic Bands can't.)
Thank you so much for spelling it out for me. I do have room to add them to the reservation (we are renting DVC), so if I do this, can I avoid paying for MB's? (I assume yes, but I want to make sure) Sorry for all the questions and thank you!
@marciemi was able to test this on Sunday. She wasn't able to book an additional via the app because tickets are not linked to that specific Profile/line. You would need to book at a kiosk. Thanks, everyone, for an immensely helpful thread(s). I have one question that I have not seen addressed: after getting 3 SDFP with a phantom band, can you then get a 4th (or more) with that band? If so, do we know yet whether it's possible to do that with the app, or does it require another trip to the kiosk? TIA!
You don't have to do anything to those 3 tickets. They will work for fp's for as long as you have the tickets. We have been using our son-in-law's unused ticket for fastpasses for three trips now and we'll keep using it for fastpasses until he needs it back again.I should know this but here goes. We have 3 APs for a trip in June staying onsite and booked FP 60 days out. Then I purchased 3 park hoppers from disneys site and assigned to phantom people on the same account. I was able to book them also 60 days out (in that window anyway as the trip was only 55 days away when I did it). I have 3 purchased MB's that I could link to the people but it seems unnecessary as I can just use the cards that will arrive in the mail at the FP readers. My question is when I go and activate the annual passes and purchase Tables in Wonderland do I need to do anything at the counter with those cards? If so what would there be to do, it isn't like I have ID for them.
No, this won't work. You can't assign your MB to anyone else. Once a MB is assigned to someone then it stays with them.2) my son's friend/GL are going to visit family next month in Orlando (within the 30 day window). They bought 1 day tickets thru Disney. Have no MDE account on record. Was going to let them use old set of our MBs. Is this still permissible?
You can't disassociate a MB but you can set up a new MDE account for them and link their tickets to that account. That will let them make fastpasses. You don't need a MB for fp's. The RFID ticket will work.3) if the above is still ok, do I need to disassociate the MB from my MDE account? Could he then set up a MDE account and book FPs?

Yes, as long as you're not using them that day. If you currently have tickets or AP's linked to your bands (all of the bands for each person will read the same information), they could book the FPP's in advance. If no tickets, they could use at kiosks that day to get 3 for each person's MB's (not per MB). If they link their MDE to yours once they create theirs, they'd also be able to make changes to the FPP's via their MDE (assuming yours allows them to "see all plans", not just shared ones).ok, clear on that, thank you
could I give them a set of my MB so they can use them at the park to make an extra set of 3 FP? (as in my set of MB would be their "phantoms")
Idea being them having both the 3 they are eligible to use via their park tickets and then ability to make 3 more pp at the kiosk in the park with 'our' MBs upon their arrival.

No. Once linked, a MB cannot be transferred or disassociated from a specific Profile within an MDE account. If you have old magic bands from a previous trip and "deactivate" them for that persons MDE account, can those disassociated bands work for SDFP?
