SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

I assume this means further discussion of this topic could be off limits on the Dis.

I hope it doesn't mean that this thread would go away with all content deleted....

Is discussion of the relationship between Disney TOS and allowable topics on DIS allowed? So we could know what will possibly happen to this thread at that point.

I'll wait to update the first post until after June 6th - since it's possible that the kiosks won't work with unticketed bands for SDFP after all (though we expect them to). Friending two MDEs is really straightforward, though. On your MDE, click on My Family & Friends List, then scroll to the bottom. Click on "Add a Guest" and then click on "I'll Enter Their Name and Age." A prompt will appear and you can toggle "Invite this guest to connect." You add the email address of the secondary MDE (with the phantoms). You have to follow the link in the email that will be sent to accept the invitation.

I can not see where to toggle to "invite this guest to connect". It only gives me the option of putting in the name and age. I am trying on the website, not the app.

As soon as you enter their name and age, then change the radio button from "I want to manage all plans for this guest" to "Invite this guest to connect" and it will then give you a spot to enter their email.

Ah okay. I was trying to find it before entering any info. Thanks!

Yes. When the wording changed in the TOS in September 2016, discussion and directives were added to the thread so that TOS violations would no longer be discussed.

DISboards Admins allow this thread to run and it is watched closely to ensure discussion is within the TOS Guidelines.

The expected changes at FP touchponts will basically enforce the TOS, as it is currently written, with negative consequences applied to MDE accounts or Profiles.

Sorry :( what is TOS ?

Terms of Service. Basically, when installing a new piece of software, or buying a new gadget will have terms inside of them. There's also terms when booking a hotel room at Disney.

If Disney changes the terms on how Magicbands and Fastbasses can be utilized in the parks, what's allowed to be discussed here will change, accordingly.

So...if TOS changed to the point that kiosk use was officially allowed only on ticketed bands (beyond what was originally expected on June 6th), this thread would be deleted, and it would be at the risk of the individual to try the CPFP loophole. Is that correct?

If you read the revised first post of this thread, the focus is on CPFP. Change Party is an MDE function that is available to all WDW Guests who have MDE accounts.

If kiosks move from RFID to RFID + ticket usage, then all references and discussion of SDFP will no longer be allowed because it would no longer exist.

All speculative right now because the "behavior mod negative consequences" and potential changes to the TOS are still unknown.

In such a situation, perhaps ScrapYap and friends would be so kind as to move over to Reddit/WaltDisneyWorld? ;)

Day #2 update...

No Disney warning e-mail this morning...so it's now been about 48 hours later since setting up the above exp. and my FP's all appear to be "good."

Just to add to my possible conclusions...the other day when I got the warning e-mail (for a different, but similar scenario), maybe it was because I was trying out all sorts of ticket reassignments and FP rearrangements on multiple phantoms, that by doing so many different things, that they triggered a flag in the system (I think ScrapYap alluded to something along these lines), so that the system knew who to "target" when it actually checked in the early morning the following day (I got the warning e-mails around 3:30 am). Maybe by doing minimal reassignments, that I am "flying under the radar" sort of speak...we shall see!
This is almost as fun as if/when I will be able to actually use the FP's!!!!! :rotfl2:

Day #3 update...

No Disney warning e-mail yet...so it's now been about 72 hours later since setting up the above exp. and my FP's all appear to be "good."

Weird! Maybe they took down that software check while they are updating to merge the admission/FP systems?

I'm there. :). Also the Lines app/FB group allows discussion as well and lots of experts there too. (I post on the app but not much in the forums there but others keep that updated).

@ScrapYap Thank you so very much for all information provided. I've been catching up since I found this thread last Saturday. I only wish that I found this thread sooner for my previous trips. As well, thanks to @hiroMYhero, @marciemi and all other contributors and testers.

My FP windows open tomorrow morning, and I have rearranged my prioritizing and strategy of booking FP's accordingly, as per the CPFP insight you have provided.

Humble Suggestion: How about proactively creating a new thread specific to CPFP to avoid a conflict with possible DB-TOS to avoid losing any additional information, assuming the new thread is moderated to avoid/delete any SDFP postings.

I generated a PDF of the initial posts of this thread to preserve the summarize SDFP information but would be a tragedy to lose further CPFP knowledgebase postings due to a possible conflict. Thanks again.

hiroMYhero - why do you recommend making changes to MDE before June 6? I have my MDE account with tickets and FP for August. I have numerous non-expiring tickets that I will use to make phantom profiles for and utilize for CPFP. My gut was telling me to wait to set up those phantoms and add the Non-expiring tickets till after the 6th of June to see how things shake out. If I did it now, I could book FP in the 60-30 day window but that window will still be available after June 6. So do it now or wait? Hope this is appropriate to ask. Thanks

The only change being recommended is that names are Edited prior to merging MDEs. Linking tickets in MDE can be done at any time because unused tickets can be easily reassigned.

Will MDEs with the same first names, but different last names be merged? I would think not, but want to confirm before I merge. I currently have our real MDE set up with our real names and our second MDE with our first names with my maiden name as our last names.
