SDD on arrival day w/no FP

Going to HS on the day we arrive (July 30) so we won't be there at rope drop and could not get a FP for SDD. What time of afternoon/evening is my best bet for doing SDD on standby?

keep checking for FPs after you use your 1st 3, they do come up.
Otherwise, I would ride just about closing time. The line tends to be shorter and the ride is fun with all the lights.

You may have to choose this over F! and just get in line close to closing. You may then also miss the Star Wars show too, but you may be able to ride and scoot over, depending on how long the line is at closing.

two minutes before the park close the line will say 90-minute wait but will be more like 30
