We are planning to purchase Genie plus for Wednesday, November 10. We want to go to HS in the morning and MK in the afternoon. We are staying onsite and hoping to do MMRR at 830 for early entry and possibly MFSR or TSMM/Alien Swirling Saucers (What is the acronym for this ride?!)

Right at 7 I plan to get SDD like a maniac. We are going with my 2 year old DS and he has watched this rollercoaster on YouTube countless times. He even goes to the playground and pretends the bike rack is a roller coaster and yells "Slinky Dog!" He has no fear and I know he will love it and not be scared. He's already been on the log ride at our local six flags and had zero fear of the big drop lol.

I was a pro at getting virtual queues so hopefully I'll be great at this too, BUT he takes a nap around 12-2 or 1-3. I'm hoping to get SDD from 9-12 or 3-4 (NO LATER because we want to go to MK). I hope to stack Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan for the afternoon. Any suggestions? How easy/hard will this be?

Take the first thing you see. If it says 9:30 and you click it, it may ask you to confirm 10:00.
If you back out and see 11:00 and click it, it may be asking you to confirm 12:30 (which is later than you want).

One idea since he'll likely love it. The TP reported actual wait times are reasonable compared to how fast the G+ reservations go. Go ahead and try for a G+, and if he really likes it maybe go standby later that day.

If you are on and prepared like you were with virtual queue you should be fine. My phone actually crashed at 6:59am and went to its home screen when I was trying to book SDD a week ago, and I still got 10:30am. Sounds like you are a pro and I don't need to mention, but make sure you have G+ booked prior to 7am (I booked ours at midnight one night, and 6am the other) and play with the new app beforehand. I know you know this but worth repeating just in case someone else who is new didn't think of it. :)

Good luck. Hope your son absolutely loves SDD. Watching his excitement is what really makes the magic of Disney come to life!

For sure have Plan A, B and C.

I have been here all week, on at 7 and very surprised at the times offered for top rides. The earliest any of the big rides like Slinky were offered was 12:30 or later. NOW after the park opened for a bit they added in some earlier times, I guess once lines were rolling. Literally the only thing at Studios before noon were Aliens, Star Tours, Muppets, shows .... :tilt:

The system is rigid, not flexible like the FP+ system was.

That's what I was afraid of. Worse comes to worse, I'll wait in the queue while my hubby and 2 year old run around and I'll call them when I get close. I don't think anyone would mind a 2 year old joining the queue. He'll love just watching the rollercoaster and running around Toy Story Land!

The queue is also cute, and as long as it’s not over an hour I think your son would do fine. There is a lot to look at. I took my son when he was almost three (had to get one last no ticket no meal trip in :-)). We rode it at night and while he was a little unhappy with the last part of the ride because we were in the last row, to this day he still talks about riding it with me.

Hello Fly girl, I have been to WDW more than 10 times but never since february 2016, Genie + is all new for me... MDE too. And english is my second language as you can see... could you please explain to me how you were able to book your Genie + reservation before 7:00 am? We are going to disney from december 30th to january 11th: very busy days with the holiday and then the marathon... I will need to be ready and need to understand the Genie + system before we arrive... I will be traveling as a single mother with 3 kids: 9-14 and 17 years old. thank you very much

I believe flygirl was saying you need to have purchased Genie+ before 7:00am, so that you are ready to go when it is time to reserve ride times.

Yes, thank you @mom2cinderella, that is what I meant. I believe it is midnight you can book Genie+ to use for that day. Once Genie+ is booked, then at 7am you can get your first Lightening Lane selection. But be on your phone and ready before 7am as once the system opens popular rides can go quickly. (ex. Slinky Dog Dash)

Also remember, if you book a Lightening Lane for a park you don't have a reservation for (hopping) then that time won't be until after 2pm. (Example: you are going to AK in the morning then hopping to HS. You really want SDD for that day so at 7am you log on and get a LL for SDD at 2:30pm. You won't be able to get one before 2pm, as AK is where you have your park reservation.) If AK opens at 9am, you can get your next LL for AK at 11am. So at 11am, you get back on Genie+ and book LL for Dinosaur.

Hope that makes sense. I know, they made this way more confusing than it should be.
