Scuba Diving at Vero Thanksgiving?

My husband is getting his diving certification and is looking for a place to dive in Florida. We're planning on spending 6 days at Universal/WDW and I was thinking of adding on a few days at Vero - if diving there is any good in late November.

Does anyone have any experience diving in the area?
