Script was cheaper without health insurance, never again!

My Target/CVS will run the prescription through multiple ways and get me the best price - with insurance, without insurance or with a public coupon.

Currently I don't have any health insurance due to leaving my job, but will be getting on my husband's plan this week. So today I went ahead and filled his blood pressure pills without any coverage at all, and it was $2 less without the insurance. Never again. CVS knew it would be cheaper to fill it without the coverage but never said a word.

I will make sure and call them out on it next time, as to fill it without coverage. That is total BS!

I learned this long ago when I asked the pharmacist how much a certain prescription would be without insurance. It was $7 without and $15 with the insurance!!!

Another thing you should know is that CvS is probably the most expensive pharmacy in the country.

Check out WalMart and your local supermarket pharmacy. I know that I get 90 days worth of medication for $10 at Walmart. At my supermarket I also get a different prescription for $10 for 90 days.

Go to WalMart.com and link to their pharmacy page. From there you can get a list of all the all the discounted meds. Do the same with your supermarket pharmacy or just ask for the list
