Script slowdown

Have people noticed a slowdown on the site in the last couple of weeks? I've been noticing it on my iPad, especially on long pages, so I tried checking on my desktop for the first time in about a month or more. Firefox started reporting a script taking an unusually long time, which I've never seen it do before on this site.

Firefox started reporting a script taking an unusually long time, which I've never seen it do before on this site.

Well, since they started their "test" of the advertising column the first few days were incredibly slow loading here. Today it's having issues also. Several times when I click on something it takes me somewhere else. And I've had to click a couple times to get some things to move on.

It happens to me ALL The time... I'm getting so frustrated. I wonder how many people are getting this and just closing up and going away? I've been tempted a number of times.

I thought it was just my old desktop. It's crazy slow and then it crashes all the time, very annoying

Yes. The site has been crashing for me all day. I got tired of seeing the Ahh Snap message.

I've had no problems today. But yesterday, I think, they were experimenting with some new advertising code that was behaving inconsistently as well as being annoying.
