Does anyone know where I can find the scrips to the rides? I really want the ones to Jurassic park river adventure.

I think he means scripts. They are what you hear and see on the ride.

If anyone posted actual ride scripts they would be violating Universal's copyright and I imagine that UO's lawyers would respond vigorously.

I think the script for most Universal rides is this:

Your tranquil boat ride/tour/training session etc. is interrupted and you're wisked away to a life-threating situation or you have to save to world along with several other guests. In the end, you defeat the bad guy after crashing/dropping/getting blown up. :)

Actually, I think you could post the scripts, as long as you give due credit. Now, if you were using portions of the script in YOUR new script, or citing portions of the script were of your creation, that is where it gets a little bit hairy. But I am sure they could file a lawsuit if they wanted to because it is an entertainment experience you pay for.

See, Entertainment Law class back in college does come in handy!

Ah, I think Kelly is correct. Reprinting a script without permission is a violation of copyright law. Citing the source is not the same as getting permission....

COME On Get Real. Telling someone about the ride will bring the lawyers out. I don't don't think even lawyers would waste the time or money.

i bet that is the same line of thought disney had on the all-star sports complex. OOPS:smooth:

There are complete scripts of WDW attractions all over the internet. All of the sites have disclaimers stating that they are fan sights only (i.e., they make no money), and that they have no affiliation with WDW, the Disney Company, or its subs. I think this keeps the lawyers at bay.
Plus, I think alot of these sites generate tremendous free publicity for Disney, Universal, etc. I don't know why they would want to file suit on these folks.

Parks threaten but never do anything, they just want more money. It's free form advertising I don't pretend to know the law but it's the same mantality that if I post pictures of my trip to Universal and I am posting pictures of rides that is a copyright violation. If I post video of a ride then that's a copyright violation, so it's all violations. Probably talking about a ride outside the park is a violation.

I believe the current law, as it pertains to websites, allows for legal action only if the website owner is making a profit from the site. or if the content defames or slanders the affected party. And even the defamation part is gray, since there are so many anti-Bush and anti-Gore websites. I believe that part of the law is dependent on the definition of the party's "public exposure".

I already know many of the scripts by heart.

Are the lawyers going to sue my brain??? Maybe put in a chip so I cannot recall them??? Oh no!!!! :)

What is with Disney and Day Care Center's in 2000 they sued a women for distributing Disney Videos to her kids, she lost, then lost the Day Care Center and she has to pay Disney so many millions she'll never see.

Disney must love kids.
